Seen the Father?

Note: “at any time” (in verse in picture)

Thus, I have doubted the visions where some men claim that they have ‘seen the Father’. We may see only ‘Lord Jesus Christ ‘ if He Wills it.

As a “man” (i.e. whilst living on earth), it is stated that this does “not” happen meaning we could see Him after we die (as a spirit/soul as He Wills).

“Who (God) only is having immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable, whom no one of men did see, nor is able to see, to whom is honour and might age-during! Amen.” (1 Timothy 6:16)

As a “man”, we are only “revealed” to Lord Jesus Christ (God the Son) as it is written:

“No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” (John 1:18)

Consider also:

“For in Him (Jesus) all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,” (Colossians 1:9)

“For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him (Jesus),” (Colossians 1:19)

And that’s why seeing Christ Jesus is equivalent to having seen the Father as it’s written too:

“Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him,

“Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” (John 14:8 – 9)
