Divorced – Cannot Remarry – A Great Lawlessness
“but I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for the reason of unchastity, makes her commit adultery; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:32, NASB)
Lord Jesus Christ gives a correct interpretation in Verses above REFUTING the prevalent error filled Pharisees & Sadduccees ‘creation of a divorce can remarry man made teaching’ at that time which was formed by misquoting an Old Testament Verse which explains what to do when that happens only (i. e. the first husband must NOT receive her back, Deuteronomy 24:4) and certainly does NOT endorse a remarrying of a divorced in the ‘name of Love’.
Widows or widowers (whose spouse have died) can remarry (e. g. 1 Corinthians 7:39) which is a different case entirely.
In other words the Torah does NOT teach that the divorced can remarry in Verses surrounding Deuteronomy 24:4 but rather that if such a thing happens (e. g. the “defiled woman” mentioned in this Verse who has done this), the first husband is commanded NEVER to receive her back even if she ‘returns to him’ (if she has married man another during period of separation) agreeing in principle to Jeremiah 3:1 too.
Some modern Christian denominations continue the error of divorce-remarrying which Christ prohibited and apostle Paul reiterated it in 1 Corinthians 7 too in Verses below clearly (Context: where the first marriages were Christian first, a vow done in His Name):
“But to the married I give instructions, not I, but the Lord, that the wife should not leave her husband (but if she does leave, she must remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband should not divorce his wife.” (1 Corinthians 7:10 – 11, NASB)
In Verses above it is clear that there are only two options for a ‘married woman who leaves (divorces or separates) from her first husband’ which is to either “remain unmarried” (which contradicts the divorce-can-remarry false teaching in some Christian circles) or “be reconciled (return) to the first husband only” (if a repentance occurs either way, implied) agreeing to Lord Jesus Christ’s Law regarding this.
Conclusion
Obeying His New Testament Verses and Commands may be part of the “Law of Christ” (1 Corinthians 9:21, Galatians 6:2) as our Blessed Lord Delivered through His apostles (2 Peter 3:2, 1 Corinthians 14:37, Acts 1:2).
Let’s NOT continue in “Lawlessness” regarding this too as Christians (Matthew 7:20 – 23).
If we love Him, we ought to Keep (Obey) His Commands above ‘our fleshy desires’, right (John 14:15)?
How are we His Friends if we teach Lawlessness and disobey His Commands even in regards to this (John 15:14)?
If we take His Blessed Commands as a ‘small thing’, the returning Judgment seems to be that we become “small likewise” in His Kingdom by ‘entering it only eventually’ post afterlife Judgment if needed first as He Alone Decides (Matthew 5:19) and NOT inheriting it due to sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:9), right?

Please note the phrase “give instructions, not I, but the Lord” used in 1 Corinthians 7:10 (NASB) which is identical to the phrase “the Lord’s Commandment” in Verse below which means that NONE of His New Testament Law of Christ is obsolete or may be changed till the end of this age but rather are to be obeyed to bring about the true “obedience of the faith” (Romans 1:5) among believing “Gentiles” too where the Judgment for ignoring His Commands is ‘we receiving our level of ignoring His Word meted back to us’ (as implied in 1 Corinthians 14:38, next – Verse, Context), clearly:
“If anyone thinks they are a prophet or otherwise gifted by the Spirit, let them acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. ” (1 Corinthians 14:37, NIV)
Yes, the Verse above was Written with the following ‘Warning’:
“But if anyone ignores this, they will themselves be ignored.” (1 Corinthians 14:38, NIV)

False Teaching Examples – A Christian Divorcee can Remarry and Christians Making Religious Oaths in His Name
Here’s an example of a False Teaching which teaches that a ‘Divorce can remarry for the Sexual Immorality Case’:
To quote (from the Assemblies of God website):
“Under what conditions then may remarriage take place? Jesus taught that if a divorce occurs under a biblical exception as stated earlier, one is free to remarry. In other words, one who has been divorced because of the repeated adultery of a partner (Matthew 5:32; 19:9) is not bound by the former marriage and is free to remarry. The exception clause (“except for marital unfaithfulness”) refers to a continuing lifestyle of sexual immorality, not necessarily a single act.”

1) What is their mistake?
They claim that Christ’s Commands of Divorce cannot remarry does ‘not’ for ‘unfaithfulness’ case, right? Their explanation is a confusing as their understanding of this simple matter. Do you know that the SAME Verses which they quote (below) does NOT teach this?

Please note that Christ is NOT allowing ‘divorce-remarrying only for the sexual immorality case’ (as the AOG seem to argue falsely using these Verses) but rather our Blessed Saviour is Teaching two things here:
1) One can ONLY Divorce his wife for the reason of unchastity or sexual immorality.

Simple, please consider the Verses below first:

Note first that the Verses above refer to those who are “married” establishing context here. Next, the word translated as “leave” (in both 1 Corinthians 7:10 and 1 Corinthians 7:11) come from the Greek Word “chórizó” which means ‘to leave or vacate’ which could mean either ‘being separated or being divorced’.
What’s the difference?
Being ‘separated’ means that one is not necessarily divorced as one can be staying away from a person. This may apply to the case of a domestic abuse where by Civil Law, a wife may be separated from her husband without a certificate of divorce to protect her in such equivalent cases.
The idea of ‘divorce’ comes with a ‘written certificate’ in the Law of Moses (as Matthew 5:31 mentions too):
“It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a WRITING of DIVORCEMENT:” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:31, KJV)
So, a person who is “leaving” (“chórizó”) refers to both the ‘separated’ or ‘divorced’ cases in 1 Corinthians 7:10 – 11 but ONLY the ‘sexual immorality reason permits the divorce (Matthew 5:32) in writing (Matthew 5:31)’. In other words, for domestic abuse or equivalent, a wife may be ‘separated’ from her husband to protect her without issuing a ‘written certificate of divorce’ by being ‘separated’. Do you see that it is clearly Written in the quoted Verses like that?
Where is your ‘analysis’ likewise please? Thank you. After reading ‘both sides’ (John 7:51), you may ‘decide for yourselves which is right’ (Luke 12:57). Please, be “wise”.
I am glad that I walked out of the assemblies of God denomination when they told me to take a ‘membership oath to their doctrines’ if I wished to continue to ‘serve in their music ministry’.
I mean, I don’t oath (or swear) in religious matters as Christ forbade it in Verse below:
“But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God,” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:34, NASB)
So, do the assemblies of God have an ‘unwritten exception clause toward making oaths too breaking the Command in Verse above’ which is Written in the Religious Context (not earthly oaths of which Christ is not referring to)?
May God have Mercy on them as God can Save us despite our errors. Well, who doesn’t have errors?
Conclusion
I am Writing this to point out that for those who are able to go further to obey such commands, if you need to leave your church to make a stand for Christ, please go ahead as it is blessed as the Verse below implies (for ‘Standing Up for His Word/Doctrine too’):
“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:11, NASB)
Context?
Please try this: The Blessedness for being insulted wrongly and standing up for Christ’s Word (i.e. ‘because of Him’) as mentioned in Matthew 5:11 is clearly inclusive of Matthew 5:32 (regarding Divorce-cannot remarry) and Matthew 5:34 (regarding NOT allowed to make Religious-Oaths of any kind) as these are all Consecutive Verses from this SAME Chapter (Matthew 5).
Remember, only the ‘antichrist’ tries to change God’s Laws (which side are you all on when you change all the meaning of these Verses?), in Principle of Verse below:
“He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.” (Daniel 7:25, NASB)
Please note the phrase “alterations [or CHANGE] … in [His] law”, i.e. ‘trying to CHANGE God’s Law’ is what the ‘antichrist spirit seduces ones to do’, can’t you see it?:
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;” (2 Timothy 4:3, NASB)

I will Judge myself likewise too (impartial principle) in that if on Judgment Day God Says that Christians who are DIVORCED CAN Remarry —> then I will go into the Lake of Fire for NOT taking an Oath toward this teaching making myself a LIAR, fair enough?
Why I put the Judgment that ‘strict’ is to demonstrate (and not condemn you) that ‘if you are NOT able to utter what you claim as true regarding His Word with the danger of Judgment in the lake of Fire as a liar’ then ‘you are just simply uttering things which you don’t really stand up to’.
