Pride

The fact is you shouldn’t be “proud” of yourself (selfishness).

Choose a “belief” that teaches you “not” to be “proud” instead:

“Pride goeth before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18)

“Love is not proud”, here it is in full:

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” (1 Corinthians 13:4)

Lastly, “none” who are “proud” will be endowed with “wisdom” (a simple ‘pride level check’):

“When pride comes, disgrace follows, but with humility comes wisdom.” (Proverbs 11:2)

P/S:

How can I even be proud of believing in the One Who taught us “not” to be proud?

Hence, true believers are led to Love instead of being proud.

Remember, there is “no” verse in the Bible which reads, “be proud to be a Christian” (truth).

We boast of God’s Greatest Act of Goodness only because its results are “unselfish” in that He will Save the World (including His enemies too into the ages to come):

“But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Galatians 6:14)
