The Nicene Creed

This is the Original Christian Nicene Creed (in image).

A Famous but relatively unknown fact is this: Notice that it has “no mention” of ‘age-during punishment & certainly not eternal hell’. Though age-during punishment exists, just like apostle Paul’s writings ‘skip that exact phrase “age-during punishment” too in about 50% of the New Testament he was inspired to write’, the Punishment aspect is “not” the main focus but “judgment” (not eternally but to the age for men in Matthew 25:46) & “life in the age (world) to come”.

Interestingly, note that “Judgment” cannot be ‘without end’ nor ‘eternal’ because the Original Greek Bible doesn’t teach that at all. In fact, “Judgment” is not equal to “Mercy” proving in principle that it cannot be eternal or equal in time duration (because it will be ‘overcome by His Mercy’) as the verse in James states that ‘Mercy triumphs over judgment’ in James 2:13.

Also, duration for “judgment” is to the “age” (singular) only in Matthew 25:46 agreeing to Christ description of that ‘afterlife Judgment in prison lasting only till one is punished for his sins’ to the ‘last penny’ in the verse below (and ‘not’ never get out):

“Truly I say to you, you will not come out of there until you have paid up the last cent.” (Matthew 5:26)

“And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during.'” (Matthew 25:46)

The inevitable conclusion for both law-breakers and law-keepers making it into “the kingdom of heaven” eventually due to Christ’s Most Awesome Work on His Cross is summarised in the verse below too:

“Whoever then shall break one of the least of these commandments and shall teach others the same, he will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whoever shall keep and shall teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.” (Matthew 5:19)

And that’s why apostle Paul also testifies to this ‘same’ truth below:

“But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,

It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. Prescribe and teach these things.” (1 Timothy 4:1, 9 – 11)

Indeed, Christ is all able and all Faithful despite our Faithlessness & Errors (Blessed be His Name):

““And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” – KING Jesus Christ (John 12:32)

*Please notice the word “ages” (plural) occurring somewhere at the start of this Creed which certainly speaks of “time frames” and its singular (“age”) in Greek (‘root word aion or eon’) which is used for description of ‘punishment or judgment’ (E.g. Matthew 25:46) in the New Testament certainly ‘cannot mean eternal as so wrongly translated against its literal meaning, “age” (which is an unknown but limited period of time)’.

**For those interested, the word “ages” (plural, stronger than the singular ‘age’) occurs in the original Greek Bible in verses below; Note that a group of ‘singular ages’ combine to mean the ‘plural-ages’:

“in these last days did speak to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He did make the ages;” (Hebrews 1:2)

“so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:7)
