If freedom needs to be fought for with wars, then it’s time for us to lay down our lives instead and let the wicked have the world for themselves making way for the Last Judgments which finishes off with the “end of this age”.
Do you understand the above?
Then, you’ll realize that there’s “never” a reason to fight evil with evil, e.g. Wars (which is “never Commanded” under the New Testament –> “not” one verse exists in support of war-heroes).

Instead we overcome evil by good, which in this case is “laying down our lives” instead as ‘Commanded” under the New Testament.

P/S:

Therefore, what is “highly exalted” among “men” is an “abomination” before God (literally):

“And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.” – Lord Jesus Christ in (Luke 16:15)

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” – Lord Jesus Christ in  (Matthew 5:9)
