Who’s Who?

A verse:

Romans 16:17-18 New International Version (NIV)

“17 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.”

A clue: “feed their own appetites”

Who?
“those who feed their own appetites often take ‘your money’ to do so”.

If you haven’t taken any “money” (for ‘your sustenance’ or ‘salary’) for sharing the Gospel or for doing His ministry, it’s certainly “not you”.

P/S:
For ‘your sustenance’ and ‘salary’, a man ought to work; if not, he shouldn’t even eat as the verse below states (no wonder even apostle Paul worked a ‘secular job’ as a tentmaker):

“For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” (2 Thessalonians 3:10)

Lastly, you’re not condemned if you receive aid/money when you’re unable to work for whatever reasons (physical/mental disability or old age).

It’s as simple as that without any ‘twisting’.
