Half Picture

She Heard Half

“Then she said to the king (Solomon), “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom.

“Nevertheless I did not believe the reports, until I came and my eyes had seen it. And behold, the half was not told me. You exceed in wisdom and prosperity the report which I heard.

“How blessed are your men, how blessed are these your servants who stand before you continually and hear your wisdom.” (1 Kings 10:6 – 8)

King Solomon was Blessed because he had “great wisdom” and did “great things” as well despite “his fall”. He was the “beloved of His God”.

“Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did foreign women cause to sin.” (Nehemiah 13:26)

So, be careful “who you marry” since the wrong woman will always lead you “away from God” and the right one, “toward Him”.

P/S:

Maybe Queen (of Sheba) in the passage above was “lucky” enough to hear the “other half” (good) story regarding king Solomon.

The only thing is that, Solomon should not have remained fallen. He should have rose up from it and his story would have been greater by the Finger of God Who loved him deeply.
