Heart – Remember the Poor

(be a “heart” that cannot be bought with “money” or even be won over by the things which money can buy).

Why?

Remember that if you leave to serve the rich for more money, you may neglect the poor who may need you too.

Hence, I believe that in the Christian perspective of employment, choose a way where “though” you may serve the rich, but do it without neglecting the poor either because unless you walk down that street, the poor may never get such hope.

This means that in all your available options for employment with various engagements, let there be at least one in which though you may take a lower cut (of income for the “same work”), but at least you serve the poor too.

This great principle to “remember the poor” is not taught by men but by God Himself as it’s revealed in His Blessed Word:

“All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.” – apostle Paul (Galatians 2:10)

P/S:

Thus for a “higher purpose” (Biblically), we may need to not only learn to achieve something but also in “letting go” of it.
