Human Hate vs God’s Unfailing Love

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”- Martin Luther King Jr.

Can the devil (“thief”) teach Genuine Love and Proper Justice for the betterment and rehabilitation of the perpetrator? No, as the verse below clearly implies too:

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:10, NASB)

In a Time of Human Hate

Though it makes sense,

We need to think ‘beyond being driven by human feelings only” —–> and think about God’s Word and His Love —-> even remembering how God Forgave us believers too —-> thus, the best Way forward is to extend  Mercy to the Guilty & leave Judgment entirely to God Alone (e. g. Judicial System or God’s Afterlife Judgment only):

Verses for Edification and Thought:

“for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.” – apostle James (James 1:20, NASB)

“BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger,” – apostle Paul (Ephesians 4:26, NASB)

“But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 6:15, NIV)

‘Hating defeats evil but never overcomes evil. Evil can only be overcome by Love, Christ’s Love, the Last Good, the Ultimate Good’ – Unknown

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” – apostle Paul (Romans 12:21, NASB)

“Love never fails; …” – apostle Paul (part of 1 Corinthians 13:8, NASB)

“For we know in part and we prophesy in part;

but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.

When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.” – apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 13:9 – 13, NASB)

P/S:

Let us be careful with our words especially as Christians:

“For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 12:37, NASB)

‘The way we treat our enemies after we win tells us all about our true self’ – Anonymous

Let us Solemnly Remember and Know that our Blessed Saviour Loves All His Enemies (and thus He Commanded us to do likewise) and Will have them all to be saved as well Post-Judgment too as ‘it is Written’:

“‘Ye heard that it was said: Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth;

but I — I say to you, not to resist the evil, but whoever shall slap thee on thy right cheek, turn to him also the other;

and whoever is willing to take thee to law, and thy coat to take — suffer to him also the cloak.

‘And whoever shall impress thee one mile, go with him two,

to him who is asking of thee be giving, and him who is willing to borrow from thee thou mayest not turn away.

‘Ye heard that it was said: Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and shalt hate thine enemy;

but I — I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those cursing you, do good to those hating you, and pray for those accusing you falsely, and persecuting you,

that ye may be sons of your Father in the heavens, because His sun He doth cause to rise on evil and good, and He doth send rain on righteous and unrighteous.

‘For, if ye may love those loving you, what reward have ye? do not also the tax-gatherers the same?

and if ye may salute your brethren only, what do ye abundant? do not also the tax-gatherers so?

ye shall therefore be perfect, as your Father who [is] in the heavens is perfect.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:38 – 48,  YLT)

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the [afterlife] judgment:” (Hebrews 9:27, KJV)

“Who [God our Savior] will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” – apostle Paul (1 Timothy 2:4, KJV)

“For [afterlife] judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over [afterlife] judgment” – apostle James (James 2:13, NASB)

Indeed,

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,” – apostle Paul (Titus 2:11, NASB)

[Emphasis mine]

Please note carefully that “hate thine enemy” (for whatever reason, Matthew 5:43)  is ‘disallowed’ and instead we are commanded to “love our enemies” (Matthew 5:44) without “hypocrisy” either (Romans 12:9) under the New Covenant.

Indeed,  God NEVER Changes (His Perfection Commands us to leave Judgment to Him, even reminding us that He Loves all His Enemies too and Will Save them as well Post-Afterlife-Judgment if they didn’t repent on Earth):

“We will certainly die [context, afterlife next] and be like water poured out on the ground, which can’t be recovered. But God would not take away a life [even in afterlife Judgments after they die, context mentioned prior]; He would devise plans so that the one banished from Him [after they die and are judged in afterlife Judgments] does not remain banished.” – Wise woman of Tekoa to king David (2 Samuel 14:14, CSB)

I inserted the brackets, [emphasis, which are my own words for explanations] in verses above. For example, please compare with the CSB translation by itself to understand these parallels:

“We will certainly die and be like water poured out on the ground, which can’t be recovered. But God would not take away a life; he would devise plans so that the one banished from him does not remain banished.” (2 Samuel 14:14, CSB)

The ‘worst love’ is a ‘hypocritical love’ where one ‘secretly hopes the worst’ for ‘their enemies’ (e. g. hoping for  eternal hell toward one’s enemies):

“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.” – apostle Paul (Romans 12:9, NASB)

“The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” – apostle John (1 John 4:8, NASB)

Remember, the quote below is so biblical with regards to the verses quoted too, deep:

“You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.”—Malcolm S. Forbes

To Deep to be True?

Here’s a Verse:

“God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.” (Romans 5:20, NLT)

Let us never forget

We only understand theology to the point we understand the quote in picture.

Yes, Deeper than this World, beyond this life, into the ages & He never Fails.

‘Lord Jesus Christ is the Hero Who Chose to Lose on His Cross though He could have Won by Destroying all His enemies instead with ‘more than’ 12 legions of the Most Powerful Angels in the Heavens itself (Matthew 26:53), all for His Love’s Sake so that we could win. That’s the Last Great Secret of Agape’ – Anonymous

“Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the LORD,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:7 – 9, 11, NASB)
