I Disagree

I disagree with Augustine’s quote in picture because it plainly contradicts Titus 2:11 (quoted below):

New American Standard 1977
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

Jubilee Bible 2000
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

King James 2000 Bible
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

P/S:

Further simple verses which disprove Augustine’s quote in picture:

“For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” (1 Timothy 4:10, KJV)

“Who (God) will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4, KJV)

“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 12:32)

Best part: All the above quotes are “verses from the Bible clearly stating otherwise”; Augustine’s quote is “not” a Bible verse nor any Scripture states that.

Augustine got one thing right though that the Grace of God is not according to merits of works or any other reason except “His Mercy” and His Mercy will apply to “all” too as it is written also that:

“He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,” (Titus 3:5, NASB)

“For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all.” (Romans 11:32, NASB)

Ultimately, “Mercy will triumph over judgment” implying any judgment sentence cannot be eternal:

“For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.” (James 2:13, NASB)

No ‘limited atonement’ for Christ’s Most Awesome & Blessed Work on His Cross

“and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours (believers) only, but also for those of the whole world.” (1 John 2:2, NASB)

“”All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.” (John 6:37)

Regarding which ‘all that the Father has given’ which will ‘come to Him’, it’s “all things” (not believing or Christian things only):

“”All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” (Matthew 11:27)

Knowing this “all things” part is what the verse above states as “knowing Him” (being revealed about it).

Let us disagree with men but agree with God’s Written Word (Bible).
