Here’s a Parable:
There were 3 finalists shortlisted in the final stages of a prestigious job interview for an important Christian Missionary Position.
A Strange question was put forth which read as follows:
‘Would you forgive and marry a non-virgin girl if she has repented?’
All three candidates answered a “yes, on paper”.
Next, they were having a lunch break.
As each candidate strolled down a line to take food of his choice, they were offered muffins upon a platter.
The Manager was watching closely the muffins which each candidate chose. Only candidate 3 chose a deformed muffin whilst having a choice to choose better ones.
As the interviewed continued later, the Manager asked whether his choice of that deformed muffin was purposeful or random.
Candidate 3 replied, “I chose it on purpose”.
Candidate 3: “If I didn’t take it, someone else will”
Manager: “But, it’s not your problem”
Candidate 3: “We always choose the good things for ourselves and leave the worst things for others if given a choice (a basic ‘survival of the fittest’ or ‘every man for himself mentality’ in the ‘Name of Survival’).
Survive you will, in this life by such principles but you may lose your afterlife thereafter.
Didn’t our Blessed Savior Command us to ‘lose our life’ if needed so that others may have better things due to our choice?
“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 8:35, NASB)”
Manager: “Many people will claim to be selfless but in regards to little things which they don’t realize, their true self is revealed as each candidate chose the best food for himself whilst leaving that deformed muffin which only you chose (while you had other choices).”
Candidate 3: “The muffin is deformed on the outside which represents our flesh which profits nothing (John 6:63).
So it is with a non-virgin girl whose lost of virginity is due to the deformation of sin which affects her flesh, or outside.
However, the inside of the muffin is still good and likewise after repentance, she has become a daughter of God returning to whom God Willed her to be.”
Manager: “Many people would forgive and accept such situations which doesn’t require them to make such a choice for themselves but if they are called to marry such non-virgins, they wouldn’t & would even question God’s Will.”
Candidate 3 continued:
Prophet Hosea (who was a virgin) had no problem to Marry a Prostitute (a non-virgin, Hosea 1:2) when God told him too.
Prophet Hosea is the same Prophet whose infamous Verse “My People are destroyed for lack of Knowledge” (Hosea 4:6) resounds deeply when understood that Knowledge referred to by him includes knowing that ‘God’s Will can be to marry a prostitute even as he demonstrated’ (Hosea 1:2).
I believe that Prophet Hosea’s Legendary Level of Faith (a Gift of God toward him, Romans 12:3) allowed him to make that choice easily because ‘he truly put God First’ & ‘the virgin or not, a perishable flesh matter did not bother him’ because ‘spiritual adultery’ is WORSE, incomparably worse than physical adultery as Hosea 1:2 reveals Israel to be playing a ‘spiritual harlot’ by NOT putting God-First.
A non-virgin has potential to “Love more” than even virgin girls at times as the Mysterious Verse below by the Mouth of the Sinless Heart-Reader Himself Reveals:
“For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 7:47, NASB)
Please also remember that ‘virgin, non-adulteress, religious Pharisees’ (holy on the outside, Matthew 23:26 – 27) are never listed to fall in these ‘fleshy sins’ but seemingly ‘lesser ones’ (please read Matthew 23 “carefully” to realize this) toward whom our Most Blessed Savior Pronounced the “Harshest Judgment Sentences” including the Maximum Sentence too (Matthew 12:32).
Remarkably, the “prostitutes” (an example of non-virgins) are echoed by our Most Holy Sinless Saviour to “enter” the Kingdom of God before “you” (referring to the virgin, religious & outwardly holy Pharisees) in Matthew 21:31.
Because the Pharisees “hated others on the inside” (the ‘inside’ of the cup is unclean, e. g. Matthew 23:26 – 27) while genuinely repented non-virgins & tax collectors “loved others” (e. g. Matthew 21:31) doing the “Will of the Father”.
I am not encouraging adultery nor am I encouraging fornication (Romans 3:8). I am encouraging repentance and hope toward those who have fallen (Romans 8:11, Luke 7:35).
Here’s a Fitting Verse toward those who are called to Fulfill God’s Will in such Extraordinary Cases (Matthew 16:24):
New International Version
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
New Living Translation
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.
Manager: “I see the Reason why. Your Love for Christ is Greater than your previous desire for a virgin-girl or anything else. You’re Hired.”
Peace to you
