Is it All or just a Colloquial Speech?

Is it All or just a Colloquial Speech?

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23)

It’s not a colloquial speech of any sort. It’s “all”. Yes, “all” have “sinned” (‘missed the mark’ of ‘perfection’) falling short of the ‘Glory of God’.

The rest of the “all” found in the Bible are “all” as well; God doesn’t do colloquial speech when “He speaks” because it is He Who taught us that ‘let your yes be yes and your no be no, anything more is from the evil one’.

The “colloquial speech all’s” found in the Bible may be easily differentiated such as “Ceaser requires all the world to be taxed” (Luke 2:1, the Bible records as ‘Caeser spoke or decreed here’) versus the “all” which “He speaks”.

The Bible doesn’t approve the “all’s” or truths of Caeser’s statement but records it as it is. We can easily differentiate such “all’s” as it is written.
