The Mystery of Evil

A Great Lesson From Job

Though men may cause “your destruction” (be it enemies, rivals, friends, strangers or even family in some instances – including Satan & the Devils), let us be wise enough to “see” that “they” (any of the aforementioned ones) caused it “literally” (by “their” acts toward you) and “not” God (pointing fingers if need be, in the “right” way).

Quoting Job’s legendary response when ‘he lost everything’:

“Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die!” But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept evil?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.” (Job 2:9 – 10)

What was Job’s response to God (wow!, verses below record this):

“Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped.” (Job 1:20)

“And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” (Job 1:21)

P/S:

God is silent because He will act when the right timing takes place (be it here or in the afterlife accordingly). He lets everyone “prove who we are first” with respect to these “destructions” (both “our response” & the “ones causing it”).
