Want Mercy?

Pride (teaches): Conceal (cover) your sins or deny it

Humility (teaches): Confess your sins and admit it

Results of doing either one of the above (compared):

“He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whosoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)

In fact, when one “confesses” one’s own sins toward one another and “forsakes” them (repent, become ‘righteous’), “healing” may follow as well after ‘prayer’:

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16)

P/S:

He is the Merciful One.
