Why don’t I attend church?

Someone messaged me and said that I was wrong because I don’t attend church and that her church speaks in tongues & worships in spirit and truth.

Here’s my reply:

Well, I’ll let God judge on who is right or wrong.

Here’s a biblical test on whether your church is in “spirit” and “truth” or otherwise.

Does your church “obey” this verse?

Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.” (1 Corinthians 14:34)

Before you answer me the ‘common-man-made-false-teaching’ that the above is only for the Corinthian church (no verse says that), does your church also “obey” this verse:

I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.” (1 Timothy 2:12)

Any church which doesn’t “obey” these verses can never be considered to be led by His Holy Spirit since the rule is given by Him.

We don’t question the rules but rather “obey” them for it’s written that “obedience is better than sacrifice”.

Since you mentioned ‘speaking in tongues’, does your church practice this rule with regard to speaking in tongues?

If anyone speaks in a tongue, two–or at the most three–should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret.” (1 Corinthians 14:27)

Sorry, but I don’t attend any church because I haven’t found any even “obeying” these simple-literal rules in the first place.

Hence, our group of believers who “obey” these rules make up our own church in our gathering together.

The Lord beautifully put, “when two or three are gathered in My Name, I’m there in the midst of them” (this suffices for us –> we don’t need any human confirmation since the Word is ‘not’ obeyed by them).

Lastly, God doesn’t make one rule for the Corinthian church but a different one for the rest (the absurdity is obvious for there is no partiality with God).

God’s rules by His Holy Spirit applies to all churches. Until your church obeys these rules in the first place, please don’t bother me with church attendance.

I don’t intend to insult the Holy Spirit of God by attending these churches that “don’t follow these rules” and others which “question them”.
