Why?

If you fall for the wrong reasons, it’s ugly; but if you fall for the right reasons, it’s beautiful.

P/S:

Moral of the story:
It’s “not” the “fall” which should bother you, but rather “why”.

For example: in your ‘earnings’.

Explanation: When your employer underpays you or others engage you on fees which are ‘more beneficial’ to them, the world says that you’re financially-unwise.

I beg to differ.

The world is wiser in ‘evil’ when it does that to you but you are wiser in ‘good’ when you endure it with ‘His Love’.

It’s actually a rare opportunity to “Love your enemies” (Matthew 5:44) as the Lord commanded in all truth beautifully to the extent of

(i) “pray for those who spitefully use you” (Luke 6:28; not seeking evil toward them) and

(ii) “do not resist an evil person” (Matthew 5:39; hence, if we can bear it according to our faith-level, we serve our employers well even in such an unfair scenario)

Now, here’s the easiest way to determine whether what we do is fair or not (read ‘hearts’ correctly):

“Switch roles —> If you’re an employer who dictates the terms of earnings toward an employee, would you work at that salary? If it’s a truthful ‘yes’, then you may be justified while if it’s a truthful ‘no’, you’re unfair and an exploiter instead”.

What’s a “truthful yes”?
More than words —> Anyone can ‘say’ (in words) that they’ll work for such low rates —> but it’s only ‘justified’ if you’ve actually worked for such rates in truth (walking the talk).

Remember, don’t mock the poor who serves you well. If they’re ‘as smart as you’ (the employer) in ‘making money’, then they might ‘not’ work for you in the first place and you wouldn’t have benefited like this.

Instead, for the ‘same-level of expertise’, you may need to pay ‘much much more’ to a different person just to work for you in replacing that ‘poor employee’.

The fact that to ‘replace that poor employee’ (with a more financially-wise person) you may need to pay at least 3 to 4 times more of his current monthly-engagement rate (say, about RM 1500/month), it proves how ‘unfair you really are’ and how ‘loving’ the employee really is.

It’s “not” wrong for any employee to leave when faced with such a scenario.

As I mentioned prior, it’s about your faith-level to endure this for greater rewards in the coming age.

As it’s written, “…the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God…” (1 Corinthians 3:19)

And here, Christ assured that His followers would be financially-most-unwise (“not” shrewd enough when compared to the ‘sons of this age’):

And the Master praised the dishonest steward for his shrewdness; for, in relation to their own contemporaries, the sons of this age are shrewder than the sons of Light.” (Luke 16:8)

Conclusion:

Why?
Need to fulfill this condition too to be the “sons of Light”.

Hence, we must forgive and continue to Love them as the Lord did to us:

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Colossians 3:13)

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 6:14)

Forgive and you will be forgiven” (Luke 6:37)

Remember, you have an opportunity to forgive others only when you’ve been wronged. Hence, don’t waste this opportunity to hate instead but rather to Love and forgive!

Blessed be the Lord!
