A Secret of Temptation

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” (James 1:2-4)

A purpose of “many (divers/various) temptations?”

Worketh —-> “patience” —> leading to —> “perfection” —> “wanting nothing” (a ‘sign’ of “perfection”).

Can you see it?

So, “perfection” includes (being in a state of) “wanting nothing” (“no” earthly desires but only a desire for God alone).

So each of us must ask & answer for ourselves: “How perfect are we?”

This is a link between “temptation” and “perfection”.

P/S:

So even a ‘bad’ situation (which you endure) can be a ‘good’ thing (with regards to the afterlife ‘rewards’) if endured in accordance to the ‘Will of God’. Be wise.
