Heart?
There’s more than ‘the quote in picture’.
For example, a Verse:
“Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts.” (Proverbs 21:2, NASB)
Let not only our acts depict love but also our words (e.g. Theology) and thoughts (Intentions in the heart) too.
Another Verse:
“The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 6:45, NASB)
The Verse above states that our “words” (hence Theology too) are ‘important’ as ‘they reflect our heart too’.
Conclusion
“The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;” (1 John 2:4, NASB)
What are ‘His Commands’ or the “Blessed Lord’s Commands”? Example Verses:
“If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I write to you are the Lord’s commandment.” – apostle Paul, apostle of the Gentiles (1 Corinthians 14:37, NASB)
“that you should remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken by your apostles.” – apostle Peter, apostle of the Jews (2 Peter 3:2, NASB)
P/S:
Do we LOVE Christ back? Verse:
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:15, NASB)
Are we Christ’s friends in return? Verse:
“You are My friends if you do what I command you.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 15:14, NASB)
The Great Irony is this:
“Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 6:46, NASB)
