Hell – Hate and Love

‘You ask the questions, but can your bear the true answers?’ – Anonymous

“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 16:12, NASB)

‘Only liars kill the truth-speakers so that their lies may not be exposed; those with the truth kill no one because Truth needs no killing of others nor any defending because It will Win in the End without any human help’ – Unknown

(i) We often hear questions like this:

‘If God is Love, then why is there hate & evil in the world?’

Reply:

The ‘hate & evil’ in the ‘World’ is done by the World (‘evil creation which consists of both men & the gods’, example verses: Proverbs 24:1, Psalm 140:1, Ephesians 6:12) —> due to ‘their choice’ alone —> without any influence or temptation by God in their doing of evil as the verse below clearly reveals:

“Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone” (James 1:13, NASB)

For a lengthy discussion in great detail, please consider a very lengthy write-up below covering almost all of the verses pertaining to this:

https://www.anonymouschristian.org/blog/mystery-free-will/

Perhaps, I should have used the phrase “free choice” instead of “free will” (as someone suggested it to me) due to a ‘smear in theology regarding the term free will in popular definition which sometimes contradicts some verses’. Anyway, my view of it is based on the verses quoted in the write – up as explained therein.

(ii) Another person asked me, ‘Why didn’t God stop the rape?’

Reply:

God has given free choice but no one is free from the consequence of their evil choices as these will be judged accordingly (please see point (iii) below).

That same person believed that ‘all gods are the same’. So, I asked him back, ‘ What was your god doing when that rape occurred’?

He seemed agitated and (suddenly turned atheist) and said, ‘I don’t really believe in the existence of any god’.

Fact is, these are the questions which contain the truth with regards to that ‘rape incident’ (research for yourselves the answers for each question for every rape that has ever occurred & then you may blame it on ‘whichever god’ that allowed or sanctioned it in ‘his domain or dominion’) :

Which god did the rapist believe in?

Why didn’t the god of that rapist stop him?

Where did that rape occur?

If the rapist is an atheist, then how is any god responsible for his rape which is done in his own godless state? This means that the decision to rape is from his ‘own desire’, right (James 1:14)?

In which country, city or locality did that rape occur? Who is the god of that country, city or locality (dominion)? How come that god didn’t stop the rape that occurred in his area of dominion?

If all gods are the same, do you believe in the same god as that rapist or murderer or even the god in that location which is under his dominion but allowed the rape?

In Short, isn’t it the duty of ‘the god of that location’ to ‘stop’ that rape (Psalm 82:1 – 4)?

As of now, YHWH is only God for the Location of Israel (Jeremiah 31:1) and He Will only be King (and God) over ‘All the Earth’ after He Returns as implied in verses such as Psalm 47:7, Psalm 47:2, Psalm 138:4 as these verses are Written Prophetically & we worship Him even now for it before it comes to pass itself:

“All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name.” Selah” (Psalm 66:4, NASB)

“And the LORD will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD will be the only one, and His name the only one.” (Zechariah 14:9, NASB)

“At that time they will call Jerusalem ‘The Throne of the LORD,’ and all the nations will be gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the name of the LORD; nor will they walk anymore after the stubbornness of their evil heart.” (Jeremiah 3:17, NASB)

Thus, it is NOT YHWH’s duty now to infiltrate into the dominion of the ‘other gods’ but He Safeguards Israel with one of His Mightiest Archangel:

“Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued.” (Daniel 12:1, NASB)

Michael means ‘who is like God?’ and when he wars (e.g. Revelation 12:7), it’s almost like hearing the ringing of the phrase ‘who is like God?’ whenever he strikes.

Can you see that it’s NOT YHWH’s fault at all and it is NOT His Duty to stop that Rape?

That is why God will judge these gods too (Psalm 82:1, Psalm 82:7 – 8) —> who were all created by Him as His Sons as He Himself made them ‘as gods’ (Psalm 82:6, 1 Corinthians 8:5 – 6) —-> to do ‘good’ (Psalm 82:3 – 4) —> but instead they ‘chose to do evil’ rebelling against Him (Psalm 82:2, Psalm 82:5, Ephesians 6:12) —>

So, we need a Saviour. He is the Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5), the ‘King of kings and Lord of lords’ (Revelation 19:16) Who Alone is the ‘God of gods’ (Deuteronomy 10:17) and He Will Return at the End of this Age to Judge the World (Acts 17:31).

Here’s a Glimpse of His Prophesied Return at the End of this current Age:

“Then I saw Heaven standing Open, and there before me was a White Horse. And its Rider is called Faithful and True. With Righteousness He Judges and wages War.

He has Eyes like Blazing Fire, and many Royal Crowns on His Head. He has a Name Written on Him that only He Himself knows.

He is dressed in a Robe dipped in Blood, and His Name is The Word of God.

The Armies of Heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses.” (Revelation 19:11 – 14, BSB)

God doesn’t need anyone to fight for Him and the error of the current ‘earthly Zionism’ is “exposed” in the write-up below with verses:

https://www.anonymouschristian.org/blog/zionism-unknown-god-fighting-for-god-crusades-christian-wars/

Remember our struggle is NOT with ‘flesh and blood’ (as Ephesians 6:12 clearly records) —> meaning that, NO KILLING other HUMAN BEINGS in the Name of God & Religion for WHATEVER REASON.

In fact, when we are attacked for believing in Christ, He didn’t command us to ‘fight back our attackers’ (Matthew 26:52) but rather ‘lay down our lives’ (Matthew 10:39) and ‘let our attackers kill us instead’ (John 16:2) by ‘not resisting the evil person’ (Matthew 5:39). Isn’t it plain in the verses quoted (John 18:36)?

“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 15:13, NASB)

“We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” (1 John 3:16, NASB)

Which Bible are they reading & where are the New Testament verses proving their claim?

(iii) What is God’s Solution toward Evil?

God is ‘known’ by BOTH Judgment (Psalm 9:16) and Love (1 John 4:8, for example: His Mercy). Thus we need to ‘know’ BOTH ‘His Judgment’ and ‘His Love’ to ‘know Him’.

“Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.” (Proverbs 28:5, KJV)

Two Steps —> Judgment & Mercy:

First Step: Judgment

Where Evil will be Judged first (e.g, the one having showed no mercy when doing evil —> will receive that same evil back being done to him in Hell with no mercy or the level of cruelty which he did first) as verses below imply:

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” (Galatians 6:7, NASB)

“For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy;…” (first part, James 2:13, NASB)

Example: I once read an online testimony claiming that a man who had killed & beheaded his enemies in real life died in the battlefield whilst being rescued by a medical team consisting of his enemies  —>he then went to Hell —> in Hell, he had to re-live every beheading and torture & experience the pain as ‘how each victim felt’.

Can you really see how Righteous God’s Judgment is in Hell itself?

For others who have done ‘lesser sins’, they will ‘re-live and feel the pain which they caused toward others accordingly too’. How is Hell not fair? If a person says that they never caused any pain to anyone, then they need not fear as Hell won’t be painful to them. Don’t worry, Hell & Fire will reveal it (1 Corinthians 3:13) . God is the Genius Who made Hell that way since we ‘only receive what evil which we have done toward others back (Matthew 7:12, 2 Corinthians 5:10) & re-live those pain we caused toward others’ (Isaiah 3:11, Galatians 6:7, Luke 12:47 – 48, Matthew 6:15).

For example, that’s exactly what the verse below means in regards to [afterlife] Judgment:

“Woe to the wicked–it will go badly for them, for what they have done will be done to them.” (Isaiah 3:11, CSB)

Second Step: Mercy

Hell is not eternal as His Mercy Will Triumph over any [afterlife] Judgment sentence eventually  (even if it’s the ‘eternal Hell’ sentence) as His Immutable Will to Save All demands:

“…Mercy triumphs over Judgment.” (second part, James 2:13, NASB)

(iv) How about Hate?

God’s Hate toward evildoers (Psalm 5:5) cannot be understood via ‘human hate’ because even in Hate, God is Righteous (James 1:20).

How is God Righteous in Hate? Since ‘God is Love’ (1 John 4:8), even His Hate (e.g. “all His Burning Anger”, Zephaniah 3:8, NASB) —-> must have a Motive in Love, namely to cause them all —> upon whom such a Hate causes Judgment first where ‘these feel the pain & receive their own evil first’ [as described in point (iii) prior] —-> to ‘serve Him’ eventually  and have ‘purified lips’, i.e. for their ‘purification too’ as mentioned in the next consecutive verse, Zephaniah 3:9 in perfect context.

Indeed:

“Therefore wait for Me,” declares the LORD,

“For the day when I rise up as a witness.

Indeed, My decision is to gather nations,

To assemble kingdoms,

To pour out on them My indignation,

All My burning anger;

For all the earth will be devoured

By the fire of My zeal.

“For then I will give to the peoples purified lips,

That all of them may call on the name of the LORD,

To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.” (Zephaniah 3:8 – 9, NASB)

The earlier chapters in Zephaniah 1 – 2 speak mainly of the “Judgment part” agreeing with point (iii) prior while the verses quoted here speaks of the “Mercy part” agreeing to James 2:13 perfectly too.

Are we able to understand it as it is Written?

As the picture in image shows, Sadhu Sundar Singh also testifies to this fact that ‘God’s Love operates even in Hell’ (Source: Book titled ‘The Message of Sadhu Sundar Singh’ by B. H. Streeter & A. J. Appasamy, published by Macmillan Company in 1922, Pages 100 & 101).

Sundar Singh sometimes find it difficult to explain (as proven by the “inaccurate” words in his vision which pertain to Universal Reconciliation as shown in image too) —-> and hence for the accurate explanations such as ‘God Will Reconcile All created things back to Him eventually’ (Colossians 1:16 with Colossians 1:20) —-> as part of the “Mystery or Secret of God” (Colossians 1:26) —> till ‘God becomes All in All’ (i.e. God Fully Fills All Creation with Him, 1 Corinthians 15:28) —> we turn to Holy Scripture ‘only’ for ‘Accuracy’.

Indeed, even in the ‘Hate of Hell’ —> since ‘God is Love’, there is a purpose of “Mercy” which will triumph over “Judgment” —> at the appointed Divine-Kairois-Times when these are ready to be “Ransomed” by Him (1 Timothy 2:6).

“Who did give Himself a ransom for all — the testimony in its own [kairois] times –” (1 Timothy 2:6, YLT)

Here’s a couplet of verses from the Mouth of the Blessed Saviour Himself which reveals or proves that the Word “Hate” (when God uses it) must mean “Love less” & not ‘hate in the human anger way’ (James 1:20). Please consider:

“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 14:26, NASB)

“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 10:37, NASB)

Can we see it?

Indeed, these two verses are speaking the ‘same’ meaning. Thus taking it literally is NOT a problem but a solution to understanding these verses —->  since the “hate” (the word used in Luke 14:26) must mean “love less” (as implied in contrast to ‘Love more’ in Matthew 10:37) which pertains to the ‘same’ intended meaning.

Yes, the verse below correlates with this truth only as well:

“If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.” (1 John 4:20, NASB)

Are we really able to see & understand His Words through His Words? Aren’t His Words Amazing but also easily misunderstood by ‘those outside’ to whom it becomes a ‘parable’ (Mark 4:11)  hence they misunderstand it (Matthew 13:13)?

“And He [Lord Jesus Christ] said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables?” (Mark 4:13, NASB)

Conclusion

“And He said, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that SEEING THEY MAY NOT SEE, AND HEARING THEY MAY NOT UNDERSTAND.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 8:10, NASB)

Are ‘you’ one of the ones ‘chosen’ to ‘understand’?

“I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 38:23, NASB)

Regarding Christ:

“Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; Those who would destroy me are powerful, being wrongfully my enemies; What I did not steal, I then have to restore.” (Psalm 69:4, NASB)

“But they have done this to fulfill the word that is written in their Law, ‘THEY HATED ME WITHOUT A CAUSE.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 15:25, NASB)

So, let us not be like this:

“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 8:44, NASB)

P/S:

‘The divine irony is this: we hate the One Who Loves us while we love the ones who Hate us; while the human irony is this: we love the ones who lie to us while hate the ones who speak the Truth’ – Anonymous

Here’s a common place for ‘human hate’:

‘No one is hated more than the one who speaks the Truth’ – Plato

“But my enemies are vigorous and strong, And many are those who hate me wrongfully.” (Psalm 38:19, NASB)

“So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?” – apostle Paul (Galatians 4:16, NASB)
