Zionism – Unknown God? – Fighting for God? Crusades & Christian Wars?
The True God never orders anyone to fight for Him. God will Fight for Himself against ‘His enemies’ & ‘prevail’ (verse below):
“The LORD will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies.” (Isaiah 42:13, NASB)
Only false gods require people to kill each other to ‘save them’ (as even the verse in image clearly implies):
“But Joash said to all who stood against him, “Will you contend for Baal, or will you deliver him? Whoever will plead for him shall be put to death by morning. If he is a god, let him contend for himself, because someone has torn down his altar.” (Judges 6:31, NASB)
In the Bible, the Israelite fought for themselves (‘nationalistic’, not religious reasons) for ‘their survival’ & God permitted it against their enemies. He never asked them to fight for Him (religious reasons). Where is the verse which claims this religious reason for war and conversion in the Bible? Surprising to most, it does NOT exist.
God never asked the Israelite to fight for Him or for religious reasons because ‘no’ conversion was commanded by Him toward others by force. The conversions that happened was through willing ones & not through any discrimination forced upon these in any way.
In the New Testament, preaching the Gospel and conversion is commanded but NEVER with the sword either:
“Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword.” (Matthew 26:52, NASB)
*Note: If that if such a person did not ‘perish’ on earth by the sword, it is certain in the afterlife (Isaiah 3:11, Galatians 6:7).
At times, He supernaturally aided them and when they were disobedient, He punished them by delivering them into their enemies too as the verses below illustrate (i.e. ‘no’ partiality with God):
“I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, ‘Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings; so the LORD shall do to all the kingdoms into which you are about to cross. ‘Do not fear them, for the LORD your God is the one fighting for you.” (Deuteronomy 3:21 – 22, NASB)
“For the LORD will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and He will uproot Israel from this good land which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger.” (1 Kings 14:15, NASB)
Thus the Christian Crusades and Conquests for War such as ‘God, Gold, Glory’ are all NOT Bible based and are products of twisting Scripture to fit their own ‘greed’ & ‘agendas’. If any Christian says otherwise, immediately ask for a verse from the Bible which supports their claim and please read that verse (I repeat, please read that verse) and see whether it says what they claim or not to ‘realize this truth’. God is ‘not’ a Murderer but Satan is:
“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 8:44, NASB)
“All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:8 – 10, NASB)
Fact is, Scripture only allows ‘authorities’ via ‘government’ to establish themselves ‘against evil’ by ‘Judgment or execution on earth’ (and these will be Judged if they side evil instead) —> and certainly NOT any ‘religious authority’ to ‘execute Judgment’ on earth (“no” verse says that).
Indeed, the New Testament verse below speaks of a ‘governmental authority’ (not a religious one, seen even in the context of the words pay ‘tax & custom’ in Romans 13:6 – 7 which implies this) where these are appointed to execute Justice:
“Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.
For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same;
for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.
Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience’ sake.
For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing.
Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.” (Romans 13:1 – 7, NASB)
Please note that ‘all authority comes from God’ (Romans 13:1, i.e. ‘He allows them to be rulers and kings’) but this does not mean that God approves when they do evil but rather that they will have to answer in afterlife Judgment if they chose evil instead:
“For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:14, NASB)
“Furthermore, I have seen under the sun that in the place of justice there is wickedness and in the place of righteousness there is wickedness.
I said to myself, “God will judge both the righteous man and the wicked man,” for a time for every matter and for every deed is there.” (Ecclesiastes 3:16 – 17, NASB)
“It is an abomination for kings to commit wicked acts, For a throne is established on righteousness.” (Proverbs 16:12, NASB)
“They have set up kings, but not by Me; They have appointed princes, but I did not know it. With their silver and gold they have made idols for themselves, That they might be cut off.” – God (Hosea 8:4, NASB)
“When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked man rules, people groan.” (Proverbs 29:2, NASB)
“If a ruler pays attention to falsehood, All his ministers become wicked.” (Proverbs 29:12, NASB)
Conclusion
“For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’
The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;
nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things;
and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,
that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’
“Being then the children of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man.
“Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent,
because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” – apostle Paul (Acts 17:23 – 31, NASB)
Also, why doesn’t God allow Christians to carry the Sword for Conversion?
(i) He didn’t come to destroy their lives
“and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to make arrangements for Him.
but they did not receive Him, because He was traveling toward Jerusalem.
When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?”
But He turned and rebuked them, [and said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are of;
for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”] And they went on to another village.” (Luke 9:52 – 56, NASB)
(ii) His Kingdom is not of this world.
So, He never intended an earthly kingdom until when He Himself Returns and establishes it by no human hands. Verse:
“Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.” (John 18:36, NASB)
P/S: How about Zionism?
Even the so called “Zionism” by ‘Bloodshed’ & Wars via Injustice too as done by Israel (especially Micah 3:10) is NOT approved by God as the verses below clearly imply in Principle too, always true (God’s Zionism is when He Himself descends upon the Earth from His Kingdom of the Heavens with NO Human aid of any sort, Psalm 2:6, Psalm 87:1, Revelation 19:11, Zechariah 14:4 & thereafter establishes His Rule on the earth, Zechariah 14:9, Psalm 95:3, Revelation 21:1 – 3)
“On the other hand I am filled with power—
With the Spirit of the LORD—
And with justice and courage
To make known to Jacob his rebellious act,
Even to Israel his sin.
Now hear this, heads of the house of Jacob
And rulers of the house of Israel,
Who abhor justice
And twist everything that is straight,
Who build Zion with bloodshed
And Jerusalem with violent injustice.
Her leaders pronounce judgment for a bribe,
Her priests instruct for a price
And her prophets divine for money.
Yet they lean on the LORD saying,
“Is not the LORD in our midst?
Calamity will not come upon us.”
Therefore, on account of you
Zion will be plowed as a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins,
And the mountain of the temple will become high places of a forest.” (Micah 3:8 – 12, NASB)
Other related Judgment Verses:
- a) God does NOT kill any righteous in His Own Judgment sentences
“Far be it from You to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?” (Genesis 18:25, NASB)
- b) The righteous may be killed unjustly by evil men or by the ‘evil gods’ (Ephesians 6:12) who will be judged for it in the afterlife but after such occurrences evil follows thereafter:
“The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart; And devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from evil,” (Isaiah 57:1, NASB)
“He who returns evil for good, Evil will not depart from his house.” (Proverbs 17:13, NASB)
- c) A punishment for disobedience to His Law and Word (quoted in principle as God doesn’t Change from His Ways) is ‘curses & diseases’ too:
“If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the LORD your God,
then the LORD will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, even severe and lasting plagues, and miserable and chronic sicknesses.
“He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt of which you were afraid, and they will cling to you.
“Also every sickness and every plague which, not written in the book of this law, the LORD will bring on you until you are destroyed.
“Then you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as numerous as the stars of heaven, because you did not obey the LORD your God.” (Deuteronomy 28:58 – 62, NASB)
- d) We are only punished in the afterlife according to the evil which we have ‘done first’
“And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,” (Hebrews 9:27, NASB)
“So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way And be satiated with their own devices.” (Proverbs 1:31, NASB)
“A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words, And the deeds of a man’s hands will return to him.” (Proverbs 12:14, NASB)
“Thus I will punish the world for its evil And the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud And abase the haughtiness of the ruthless.” (Isaiah 13:11, NASB)

Indeed,
“And He will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, distant nations. Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they train for war.” (Micah 4:3, NASB)
Peace to you & thank you for reading
In fact He told us to love BOTH our neighbours (Matthew 5:43) and our enemies (Matthew 5:44) & even NOT to hate our enemy too (Matthew 5:43) —-> please note each of this phrase ‘carefully’ in verses quoted to ‘realize this truth too’. Thus, it’s obvious that some of us have been believing ‘lies’:
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12, NASB)
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies,…” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:43 – 44, NASB)
So, do we want to obey our Lord (‘as the verses’ Command) or follow our ‘religious denominations’ which teach otherwise?
