Long Haired Men?

Long Hair for “Men”: The Bible vs The World

Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,” (1 Corinthians 11:14)

In the Bible, quoting Lord Jesus Christ had long hair has two possibilities:

(i) NO verse says that. So, it could be that our Blessed Lord had short hair.

(ii) The Old Testament only allowed long hair for men in “religious vows” to God (NOT for style –> opposite purposes), for example in Samson or even the infamous “Nazirite Vow” in which a man is to practice ‘extreme holiness’ (NOT the opposite as in the case of entertainer arising from self -seeking agendas) —> such as ‘much fasting & prayer etc.’.

“‘During the entire period of their Nazirite vow, no razor may be used on their head. They must be holy until the period of their dedication to the LORD is over; they must let their hair grow long.” (Numbers 6:5)

So, Christ the Lord Who came to “fulfill all Law” too in Him may have had long hair to even fulfill this Nazirite part of the Law in all “Holiness” (NOT self-indulgence).

The choice to follow the Bible or the world is yours. 🙂
