Sacrifice (Charity Works)
How about the “sacrifice” (e.g. Charity work) of the wicked?
“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD…” (Proverbs 15:8)
There is a common “false teaching” prevalent in the East where they *think* that by doing some “charity” work, their sins will be covered up.
Also, some businessmen continually earn huge profit margins by “unfair prices” and “lies” but they call it “being smart”. It’s not in the eyes of God.
Hence, they *think* that by doing great acts of “charity” (‘sacrifice’) that God will delight /accept ‘their ways’. Again, it’s “not” so as the verse above declares in “truth”.
Why?
Outwardly, two people may do the “same” good deed.
But inwardly, one is done from self-evil-conceits while the other is done-in-God.
Remember, it’s also written that:
“And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.” (2 Corinthians 11:14 – 15)
P/S:
“the best deception is also doing good with evil or selfish intents in the heart”
Examples of ‘bad’ good works:
One does it “to claim himself as god” (self glory) while the other “so that he can get more money in return as blessings” (love of money) for it (all ‘wrong’ intents or reasons in the heart).
#Don’t be deceived.
