The Greatest Lie?

The greatest lie?

Many are deceived into believing (they call it ‘faith’) that by following God, doing ministry & charitable works or by just being as holy as possible (godliness) —> it will lead them to some sort of “financial gain” which is ‘false’.

Proof?
Here’s the verse which depicts this clearly:

“and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.” (1 Timothy 6:5)

P/S:
Truth is, the ‘treasure’ God assured is in Heaven and “not” earthly ones to those who obey Him.

Earthly treasures (even financial gain) may happen or not happen but it should not affect our faith in any way.

Please note the words “do not” in the verses below:

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 6:19 – 21)
