All things and the Will of God

The ‘fate’ of men was not served into the hands of ‘men’.
Why? because we will all ‘fail’ greatly.
That is why God put it in the hands of His Son Who alone will fulfil it without fail.

Lord Jesus said:

‘And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that all that He hath given to me I will lose nothing, but may raise it up in the last day;’ (John 6:39)

‘and this is the will of Him who sent me, that every one who is beholding the Son, and is believing in him, may have life age-during, and I will raise him up in the last day.’ (John 6:40)

What does the above mean?
The “two” will of God.

Firstly, the above highlights the ‘will of God’ for ‘believers’ in John 6:40 where those “beholding” and “believing” Him may have “age-during life” (the reward) which will be conferred during “judgment” at the “last day” of this “current age”.

Secondly, the above highlights the ‘will of God’ for ‘all’ in John 6:39 and not just believers because we know that ‘all’ = ‘all things’ simple because the Father has put ‘all things’ into His Son’s hands (not just believing or Christian or jewish things only!).

This fact can be seen from John 3:35 (as John the baptist testifies, ‘The Father loveth the Son, and hath given ‘all things’ into his hand’) which was also known to Lord Jesus as Scripture elsewhere also testifies to this truth in John 13:3 (Jesus knowing that the Father had given ‘all things’ into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;). Note the ‘all things’ given to Christ in these verses (talking about context!).

Christ has given His Word that He will lose ‘nothing’ (none of it), i.e., nothing will remain “lost forever” from amongst the ‘all things” given to Him. The “may” is there not because “The Father isn’t sure Christ is able to finish the work or not” but rather the truth is that it’s because “Christ hasn’t died and resurrected yet at that point of time to call it ‘fulfilled’ just yet”.

It “may” not be too much for me to say that all the “may” or “maybe” stated about Christ fulfilling ‘Scripture’ or the ‘Will of God’ in the Bible is now “not” a “may” nor a “maybe” anymore but is to be “testified in its own times” (1 Timothy 2:6) simply because “He is Risen”. Indeed, we believe that through Him and Him only, “all things are possible” (with respect to the ‘will of God’! – there’s nothing possible against the ‘will of God’!).

I repeat, “all things are possible with God doing His Will to save the world!”

1. Angel Gabriel testified in Luke 1:37.
(“For nothing will be impossible with God.”)

2. Lord Jesus encourages belief in Mark 9:23
(“If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”)

3. Again, Lord Jesus encourages belief in Matthew 17:20
(“Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”)

4. Lord Jesus Himself compares ‘men’ and ‘God’ in Matthew 19:26
( “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”)

Note an interesting fact:
Both of whom told that with “God all things are possible” in the New Testament were not “mere men” but were from “heaven” (Gabriel and Lord Jesus Himself!). Only “heavenly-residents” fully know and can believe that God is able to do “all things” such as to “save the world!” (do His Will).
