Faith of Jesus Christ vs our faith in Jesus Christ. Which is it?

Faith’s Fine Points – Whose Faith?

Which Faith Saves us?

A Brief Explanation

A Verse:

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8 – 9, NASB)

faith in the Faith of Jesus Christ = our faith by which we receive approval pleasing God in the present time, hence the Faith of Jesus Christ applies to us “now”, in the present time

Faith of Jesus Christ = Christ’s Perfect Faith which Saves us

The phrase “not of yourselves” includes “not our faith in Christ” but the Faith of Jesus Christ Alone Saves us Ultimately while our faith helps us to receive it in the present time (or “now”) as the Elect.

Conclusion

“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST, even we have BELIEVED IN JESUS CHRIST, that we might be justified by the FAITH OF CHRIST, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” – apostle Paul (Galatians 2:16, KJV)

Please note carefully the two distinct phrases in the infamous Verse above:

FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST vs BELIEVED IN JESUS CHRIST

Where

(i) BELIEVED IN JESUS CHRIST (in Galatians 2:16) = our faith in Christ (makes us recipients of His Justification in the “present time” or “now” as His Elect)

(ii) FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST (in Galatians 2:16) = Lord Jesus Christ’s 100% Perfect Faith by which we are SAVED because we obtain His Righteousness when it is applied as Justification upon us in God’s own appointed Times for this toward each of the ALL eventually (1 Timothy 2:6) as mentioned in Verse below Majestically (please note the word ALL):

“Even the Righteousness of God which is by FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST unto ALL and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:” (Romans 3:22, KJV)

I repeat, please note these two distinct groups mentioned in Verse above when ‘accurately translated’ to whom the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God through the “Faith of Jesus Christ” will eventually apply to each (implied):

“unto ALL” vs “upon all them that believe”

Where

“unto ALL” = All (1 Timothy 2:6, 1 Timothy 2:4-KJV, 1 Timothy 4:10, Titus 2:11, Ephesians 1:9 – 10, Colossians 1:16, 20, 1 Corinthians 15:24 – 28, Acts 3:21, Revelation 21:5, Romans 5:18 – 19).

“and upon all them that believe” = believers (a special subset for the “present time” or “now”, e. g. Romans 3:26, Colossians 1:21 – 22, Romans 11:5)

Shalom
