Millennial Reign – is it during this Age or the Next? is it with the New Earth or the Old Earth?

The Millennial Reign of Christ is not with the New Earth (Revelation 20:5 – 6).

The Heavens and Earth only “fled away” on the First Day of the Next Age (on Judgment Day), Revelation 20:11 – 12.

The Making of the New Heavens and the New Earth is from the Next Age onward (Revelation 21:1) where during this Time some may have “their part in the Lake of Fire” (proving that the Great White Throne of Judgment has occurred and these are Judged already, Revelation 21:8).

These Verses are NOT describing an event at the same time. John 6:54 and John 6:40 mentions that the Resurrection must be on the LAST DAY of this AGE (AGE1) and we know that the First Resurrection (John 5:25, John 6:54, Revelation 20:4 – 6) together with the Second ‘Resurrection of the Good to life and the evil to Judgment’ (John 5:28 – 29, John 6:40) must happen BEFORE the Great White Throne is Revealed (Revelation 20:11 – 15) agreeing to this Chronology as it is found in Revelation 19 – 21 too.

Here’s the Timeline (with Consecutive Verses in ORDER as it is Written for this) Proving this Biblical Fact Irrefutably:

1) The Old Heavens and the Old Earth – Exists during the Millennial Reign

The 1000 years Millennial Reign is with the Old Heavens and the Old Earth.

Please note that NOWHERE in Revelation 20:4 – 6 where the Millennial Reign is mentioned, a new Heavens or a New Earth is Mentioned meaning that it is with the Old Earth and Heavens being Present.

A Reason for this is that SINNERS are still present among mortals during the millennial reign (e.g. Isaiah 65:20) and so it must be with the Old Earth where they can live.

The existence of “sinners” during His Millennial Reign is clearly described in Verse below (the Hebrew word here is clearly ‘wə·ha·ḥō·w·ṭe’ meaning ‘sinner’ from the root word ‘חָטָא’, transliterated ‘chata’ which means sin though some translations err by not translating this Verse accurately, please take note):

“There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the SINNER being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” (Isaiah 65:20, KJV)

So, the phrase “but the SINNER being an hundred years old shall be accursed” (Isaiah 65:20, KJV) means that anyone who ‘dies’ at an age of less than 100 years is considered accursed since ‘he must be very sinful to die at such a young age’ during this Blessed Time (implied).

Sinners being existent during the Millennial Reign among men (mortals, sons of this age) is clearly seen in Revelation 20:7 – 9 too in that they can be “deceived” still agreeing to all this.

2) The Old Heavens and the Old Earth – their end

“Then I saw a Great White Throne and Him Who Sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.” (Revelation 20:11, NASB)

The Old Heavens and the Old Earth only “Fled away” (Revelation 20:11) on Judgment Day (Revelation 20:12) which MUST be after the Resurrection of both the Wicked and Righteous which is after the Millennial Reign as ‘the rest of the dead did NOT come back to life until the 1000 years were finished’ (Revelation 20:5, 7).

3) The New Heavens and the New Earth – Comes Alive!

The New Heavens and the New Earth ONLY COMES INTO BEING (Revelation 21:1) after the Judgment Day (Revelation 20:11).

“Then I saw a NEW heaven and a NEW earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.” (Revelation 21:1, NASB)

Please also note that ONLY during this time the FIRST heaven and the FIRST earth —-> PASSED AWAY! (and not during the Millennial Reign as popularly ‘erred’).

4) Here’s another Biblical contradiction to that common assumption that the 1000 years Millennial Reign happens in the Next Age

Assuming that the Millennial Reign happens in the ‘next age’ produces the following CONTRADICTION too:

Age-during life in AGE1 and AGE2 for Sheep in Sheepfold1

Example:

“who may not receive an hundredfold now in this time [in AGE1], houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and fields, with persecutions, and in the age that is coming [AGE2], life age-during [in AGE2];” – Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 10:30, YLT)

“and He said to them, ‘Verily I say to you, that there is not one who left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children, for the sake of the reign of God, who may not receive back manifold more in this time [in AGE1], and in the coming age [AGE2], life age-during [in AGE2].’” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 18:30, YLT)

this time [in AGE1] = the 1000 years Millennial Reign of Christ in the Last Day (6th Day of this AGE1).

receive an hundredfold now in this time [in AGE1] = the Hundredfold gained during the 1000 years Millennial Reign of Christ in the Last Day (6th Day of this AGE1).

Here’s that CONTRADICTION if the Millennial Reign is the ‘next age’:

Then Christ’s Promise of the apostles Receiving a HUNDREDFOLD in this TIME (Current AGE) is NOT fulfilled if they only receive it during the NEXT Age if the Millennial Reign is the Next age.

Please note that they “left their houses, …” and did NOT receive the hundredfold in ‘their earthly lifetime’. Thus, Christ’s Promise that they MUST receive the HUNDREDFOLD during this LIFE in THIS CURRENT AGE (AGE1) can only refer to the Millennial Reign (Revelation 20:4 – 6) which again Proves that the Millennial Reign is on this LAST DAY (as when they are Resurrected, John 6:54) on this SAME CURRENT AGE1.

Isn’t it obvious especially since Christ compares ‘this time’ (Current age, AGE1) with the ‘Next Eon’ (next age, AGE2) where the apostles RECEIVE back during BOTH AGES as it is quoted in Verses above?

5) Why can’t the Millennial Reign be during the New Heavens and the New Earth?

The age to come requires a New Heavens and a New Earth where only righteousness dwells:

“But according to His promise we are looking for NEW heavens and a NEW earth, in which RIGHTEOUSNESS dwells.” (2 Peter 3:13, NASB)

Sinners being Existent during the Millennial Reign (Isaiah 65:20) and even till the end of the Millennial Reign (Revelation 20:7 – 9) disproves this claim.

So, the “age to come” (singular, next age, AGE2) requires a NEW heavens and a NEW earth (2 Peter 3:13) where ONLY RIGHTEOUSNESS Dwells (NO sinners being present in it) as 2 Peter 3:13 mentions.

This together with the Fact that sinners being existent during the Millennial Reign (e.g. Isaiah 65:20) till the end of that reign too (‘after the thousand years’ as the ‘deceived ones’ being mentioned in Revelation 20:7 – 9) clearly PROVES Irrefutably that the Millennial Reign CANNOT be the NEXT AGE (AGE2) where ‘sin does NOT dwell’ and therefore must be in the LAST DAY of the CURRENT AGE (AGE1) as claimed (John 6:54, Revelation 20:4 – 6).

Where are the ‘sinners’ during this “age to come” (AGE2) where the NEW heavens and the NEW Earth is Present (Revelation 21:1)?

The sinners are judged already at the Great White Throne (Revelation 20:11, Matthew 25:31) and are in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 21:8, Revelation 20:12 – 15) in the age-during Fire (in AGE2, Matthew 25:46) where only those who are Resurrected to Life are in the New Heavens and the New Earth (Revelation 20:4 – 6, John 5:28 – 29, John 6:54, John 6:40).
