0) Introduction – Sheepfold
[Refuting the Popular View that the Fold refers to Jew vs Gentile Sheep]
But isn’t the ‘other sheep’ in ‘another fold’ refer to the Jews vs Gentile Sheep of His?
No!
In fact, here a set of Verses proving irrefutably that both the Jew and Gentile Sheep of His (on earth, from the Church) are mentioned together as ONE FLOCK (implying that such a ‘popular claim is FALSE’):
Yes, BOTH the ‘believing Sheep of Israel’ and the ‘believing Sheep of the Gentiles’ belong to the SAME FOLD, namely sheepfold1, Proof Verses:
“solemnly testifying to BOTH JEWS and GREEKS of repentance toward God and FAITH in our Lord Jesus Christ… Be on guard for yourselves and for ALL the FLOCK, among which the Holy Spirit has made you OVERSEERS, to SHEPHERD the CHURCH of GOD which He purchased with His own blood. “I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the FLOCK;” – apostle Paul (Acts 20:21, 28 – 29, NASB)
So, the Sheepfold1 = His Church = His Bride = His Elect ONLY (1 Thessalonians 4:14 – 17).
Please note carefully these phrases in Verses above to realise this:
BOTH JEWS and GREEKS —-> FAITH —> ALL the FLOCK —-> OVERSEERS, to SHEPHERD the CHURCH of GOD —-> FLOCK —-> which clearly proves that His CHURCH does NOT Consist of two different FOLDs (e.g. Jew vs Gentile as commonly erred, NO Verse says this) but only as ONE FOLD.
The Lost Sheep of Israel (Matthew 15:24) vs the Lost Sheep of the Gentiles (by Contrast in Matthew 10:5 – 6) only Speaks of the SAME FLOCK or ONE FOLD of His CHURCH when SAVED (as per Acts 20:21, 28 – 29) where God only sent them to the Gentile Lost Sheep after the Day of Pentecost due to Empowerment from Above (Acts 1:4 – 8).
In other words, the distinction between the Lost Sheep of Israel (Matthew 15:24) vs the Lost Sheep of the Gentiles (by Contrast in Matthew 10:5 – 6) who are going to ‘believe in Him on earth itself’ (“FAITH”, Acts 20:21 as a requirement in the definition of this FOLD) are each mentioned distinctly in Holy Scripture with respect to the Gospel being Preached to them before the Empowerment of His Holy Spirit (Matthew 15:24) vs after His Empowerment by His Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 1:4 – 8).
Now the definition of His Sheep is that ‘one who believes in Him only’ (John 10:26). So, who can the ‘sheep of another fold be then (John 10:16)?’ It clearly refers to ‘those who BELIEVE in Him AFTER SEEING Him’ (in the afterlife, implied) as it is Mysteriously mentioned in Verses below:
“And this is the Will of Him that sent Me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the Last Day.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 6:40, KJV)
“No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man. “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be Lifted Up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:13 – 15, NASB)
Here’s the above Verses which further details or explanations [added to it for clarity]:
“And this is the Will of Him that sent Me, that every one which SEETH the Son [in the afterlife], and believeth on Him [after SEEING Him], may have everlasting life [more accurately age-during life in AGE1 in the lesser regions in the afterlife abodes]: and I will raise him up [John 5:28 – 29, Daniel 12:2, the Second Resurrection based on those who did Good Works] at the Last Day [‘the hour is coming’, last hour of this Last Day of AGE1, John 5:28 – 29 in this Second Resurrection*].” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 6:40, KJV)
*In this Second Resurrection of the Righteous (John 5:28 – 29, Daniel 12:2) which based on those who did Good Deeds (Luke 14:14, e.g. the phrase “those who did the GOOD DEEDS to a Resurrection of Life” in John 5:29, NASB, as even described in Matthew 25:34 – 40 who were ‘shocked’ that Christ includes them as His Sheep, as they ask, ‘When did we see You…’ – this phrase itself proves that it cannot refer to those with FAITH in Christ, or sheepfold1 and thus must refer to sheepfold2, John 10:16) will only be after His Millennial Reign which is exclusively for His Bride, His Church (for a thousand years with them ‘only’ first, Revelation 20:4 – 6).

Yes, an “Age” consists of “DAYS” and DAYS further into shorter time period of “HOURS” where ‘each represents an unknown but limited amount of time as God Wills’. Example:
Last Day of AGE1 = ‘a first hour’ + 1000 years (Millennial Reign) + ‘a last hour’
Last Day of AGE1 = ‘a first hour’ (an hour ‘Now is’ – the START of the Last Day of AGE1) + 1000 years (Millennial Reign) + ‘a last hour’ (‘an hour is coming’ – to end this Last Day of AGE1)
Last Day of AGE1 (John 6:54, John 6:40) = ‘a first hour’ (an hour ‘Now is’ – the START of the Last Day of AGE1, John 5:25) + 1000 years (Millennial Reign, Revelation 20:6) + ‘a last hour’ (‘an hour is coming’ – to end this Last Day of AGE1, John 5:25, John 5:28 – 29)
Here’s an explanation with regards to HOUR, DAY and AGE with regards to the Resurrection:
(the HOUR referred to on this Last Day of AGE1 as the ‘NOW is’, at the START of this Day, hence the present tense, ‘NOW is’ toward His Bride, sheepfold1, 1 Thessalonians 4:14 – 17):
“Truly, truly, I say to you, an HOUR … NOW IS, when the DEAD will hear the Voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will LIVE. … This is the FIRST RESURRECTION … and will Reign with Him for a thousand years.” (John 5:25, Revelation 20:4 – 6, NASB)
What is the Age-during Life?
Age-during life refers to life in the Blessed afterlife Abodes after we die. Some may call it as Heaven but until His Reign of the Heavens comes literally after His Return and Beginning with the 1000 years Millennial Reign of Christ, I tend ‘not’ to use heaven when referring to this time period when referring to the destination of a soul after a man dies on the earth.
(i) Age-during life in AGE1 and AGE2 for Sheep in Sheepfold1

“who may not receive an hundredfold now in this time [in AGE1], houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and fields, with persecutions, and in the age that is coming [AGE2], life age-during [in AGE2];” – Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 10:30, YLT)
“and He said to them, ‘Verily I say to you, that there is not one who left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children, for the sake of the reign of God, who may not receive back manifold more in this time [in AGE1], and in the coming age [AGE2], life age-during [in AGE2].’” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 18:30, YLT)

And those teaching do shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars to the age and for ever. And thou, O Daniel, hide the things, and seal the book till the time of the end, many do go to and fro, and knowledge is multiplied.” (Daniel 12:2 – 4, YLT)
These can be understood as follows:
ai). The MULTITUDE awakening during the Second Resurrection
the MULTITUDE of those sleeping in the dust of the ground do awake = Do not marvel at this; for an HOUR is COMING, in which all who are in the TOMBS will hear His voice
aii). Which age-during life is being Referred to here at the Great White Throne of Judgment?
The particular age-during life in AGE2.
aiii). The Good Men from the Second Resurrection – Resurrected to Life
the MULTITUDE awake, some to life age-during = all those consisting of sheep-fold-2 = ‘the small’ before His Throne
those who did the good deeds to a Resurrection of LIFE = they obtain the particular age-during life in AGE2
Notice that those of the First Resurrection (‘the great’, sheep-fold-1) have a key advantage where they obtain the particular age-during life in AGE1 too on earth (which included the Millennial Reign on the 6th Day of AGE1) of which NONE of those from sheep-fold-2 receive.
Yes, only the ones having faith in the Faith of Jesus Christ having believed in Him without seeing Him on earth itself (sheep-fold-1, ‘the great’) obtain both particular age-during life’s (of AGE1 and AGE2) while the ones who have only believed after seeing Him (sheep-fold-2, from the afterlife or from the Millennial Reign, ‘the small’) obtain only the particular age-during life in AGE2.
Notice that Christ mentions that these are given the Resurrection of Life based upon ‘good works’ only and not based on their belief in Him which is logical since these have either believed in Him in the afterlife or during the Millennial Reign which is considered as ‘believing after seeing’ (hence belonging to sheep-fold-2).
This Separation of His sheep from goats (includes those belonging to sheep-fold-2 too as well) and is described further in Verses below:
“But when the Son of Man comes in His Glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His Glorious Throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.” (Matthew 25:31 – 40, NASB)
Please note that in this Great Judgment at the Great White Throne of His Glory:
‘ALL the Nations’ = ‘All the Jews and Gentiles’ (All Men, All Mankind who are gathered before Him, John 12:32)
His Sheep = sheep from both sheep-fold-1 and sheep-fold-2 (the ‘great’ and the ‘small’)
separates the sheep from the goats = based on whether whose names are Written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, where the sheep’s names are Written and the goats’ names aren’t
“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You,…” = the righteous which asks such questions indicates that these righteous are not from sheep-fold-1 (‘the great’) only but also includes those from sheep-fold-2 (the ‘small’) who may have not been aware of this Verse prior; not all the righteous will ask Him this (due to knowing this Verse prior) but some of the righteous who may not have known it prior.
Hi Sheep will endure His Fire upon their works only and may cause some of their works to be burnt too [if it’s a bad Work] causing them to be ‘refined’ in FIRE which are being referred to in Verses below:
“Purify themselves, yea, make themselves white, yea, refined are many: …” (Daniel 12:10, YLT)
“If any man’s WORK which he has built on it remains, he will receive a REWARD. If any man’s WORK is burned up, he will SUFFER LOSS; but he himself will be SAVED, yet so as through FIRE.” (1 Corinthians 3:14 – 15, NASB)
(ii) Age-during life in AGE1 and AGE2 for Sheep in Sheepfold2
“and this is the will of Him who sent me, that every one who is beholding the Son, and is believing in him, may have life age-during, and I will raise him up in the last day.” (John 6:40, YLT)

(iii) Age-during life in AGE2 for Sheepfold2

“And these [wicked] shall go away to punishment age-during [in AGE2], but the righteous to life age-during [in AGE2].” (Matthew 25:46, YLT)
“Do not marvel at this; for an HOUR is COMING, in which all who are in the TOMBS will hear His voice, … those who committed the EVIL DEEDS to a Resurrection of JUDGMENT.” (John 5:28 – 29, NASB)
the MULTITUDE awake, and some to reproaches — to abhorrence age-during = the Wicked who are Resurrected to Judgment-first who come from all ages past that are still among ‘the dead’ which come from HADES, DEATH or the SEA = ‘the dead’ before His Throne
Their Judgment is described as follows [Judgment toward the goats, wicked mankind]:
“Then shall He say also to those on the left hand, Go ye from Me, the cursed, to the fire, the age-during, that hath been prepared for the Devil and his messengers [angels]; for I did hunger, and ye gave me not to eat; I did thirst, and ye gave me not to drink; a stranger I was, and ye did not receive me; naked, and ye put not around me; infirm, and in prison, and ye did not look after me. ‘Then shall they answer, they also, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or infirm, or in prison, and we did not minister to thee? ‘Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of these, the least, ye did [it] not to me. And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during.” (Matthew 25:41 – 46, YLT)
Please notice the phrase “Go ye from Me, the cursed, to the fire, the age-during, that hath been prepared for the Devil and his messengers [angels]” in Matthew 25:41 which refers to this punishment of the Devil just prior to Judgment Day:
“and the Devil, who is leading them astray, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are the beast and the false prophet, and they shall be tormented day and night — to the ages of the Ages.” (Revelation 20:10, YLT)
Do also notice carefully that wicked men (the goats) are sent to this SAME FIRE, i.e. the SECOND DEATH in the Lake of FIRE but there is a key difference regarding the duration of this Judgment Sentence, namely that the Wicked are to be in that FIRE for the ‘age-during’ (time period, AGE2) whilst the Devil and his angels are to be in it much longer, i.e. to the ‘ages [including AGE2, AGE3, etc.) of the Ages’.
The Wicked are called ‘the Dead’ before His Throne despite being ‘Resurrected for Judgment’ (1 Peter 4:5, Revelation 20:12) on Judgment Day (Revelation 20:11, Acts 17:31, 1 Peter 4:5, Daniel 7:9) where ALL MEN are gathered before Him (John 12:32, Daniel 7:10) where just prior to Judgment Day, Satan is thrown first into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:10, John 12:31, Daniel 7:11) with his other ‘beasts’ (or devils too, Daniel 7:12).
ALL Men = the dead (wicked) + the small (Sheepfold2, good-deeds righteous) + the great (Sheepfold1, His Church & Bride, the Righteous with both FAITH and works)
The Wicked are called ‘the Dead’ before His Throne (Revelation 20:12) despite being ‘Resurrected for Judgment’ (John 5:28 – 29) because the ‘body’ in which they are ‘resurrected for judgment’ is a perishable NATURAL BODY.
Yes, in comparison, the righteous are raised to LIFE while the wicked are raised for JUDGMENT (John 5:28 – 29). Hence, we know that one being ‘raised to life’ must be given an appropriate spiritual body in perfection and in comparison the ones ‘raised to judgment’ (by contrast) must be given a ‘perishable natural body in some type of flesh’ perish in sin during Judgment so that they sin may be ‘sucked out and destroyed in this flesh’ (a medicinal purpose, for a lack of a better phrase to describe it).
This order of Resurrection itself proves that His Righteous are not numbered together with the wicked in any way (Psalm 26:9).
There is also a distinction between the Righteous of the First Resurrection (i.e. those who died in Christ, John 5:24 – 25, Revelation 20:4 – 6) vs the righteous of the second resurrection (i.e. those who did NOT die in Christ, John 5:28 – 29) in that the Former will be ‘the great’ and the latter will be the ‘small’ before His Throne on Judgment Day (Revelation 20:12, Revelation 19:5).
Resurrection of the Dead toward the WICKED —> Resurrected for JUDGMENT (in a NATURAL BODY with a PERISHABLE Flesh of some sort to endure the LAKE of FIRE in order for their SIN and EVIL attached to them to be DESTROYED with it) —-> After their BODY + SOUL (or FLESH which contains all their sins) is DESTROYED, only their SPIRIT remains —> this SPIRIT will be a given an IMPERISHABLE Spiritual Body (which is sinless and cannot be affected by Sin anymore either) —> so, in HOPE that they may LIVE (attain the Resurrection of the Dead’s Will of God) in that they are MADE ALIVE in CHRIST too in the END!
Some may argue that if sin could be destroyed in Body and Soul (in the Flesh given) at Gehenna (a fiery Location in Hades) or latter when it is Cast into the Lake of Fire at the Final Judgment, then why did Christ had to Die for all sins of Mankind?
Please remember that the ‘spirits in prison’ who got destroyed in the Days of Noah were absent from their ‘body and soul’ (‘their flesh in sin’ meaning that these must have been destroyed in the afterlife punishments prior to Christ’s Coming) proving this claim. Yes, a man consists of a ‘body, soul and spirit’ where each is distinct but may have overlaps.
Lord Jesus Christ Died for the sins of the wicked as well by being a PROPITIATION for their sins too in that though the Fires of Gehenna (of Hades, now cast in the Lake of Fire, mingled with it) Destroys their ‘body + soul’ it will be stopped to not continue further & to consume their spirit to non-existence by His Mercy which Triumphs over (and Ends) this Judgment.
Yes, PROPITIATION of sins refers to the ‘Turning away (or Ending) of Wrath’ first which is followed by ‘the removal of their sins’ by Him being ‘the Perfect Lamb of God’ through Whom ‘sin ceases to exist when it Touches Him Who is sinless’ applies to the wicked from this point of Ransoming only, henceforth as He Wills. For the Righteous in Christ, His PROPITIATION applies without any Judgment touching them at all. For the other righteous, His PROPITIATION applies to them earlier in the afterlife (if they died) where they endure a little of their sins but He doesn’t Repay any according to their sins in full for if He did, none would be Saved.
So, Christ [as the Perfect Lamb of God] Dying for Sins was so that Sin could Touch Him Who Alone is Sinless and thus Sin ceases to Exist when this Happens and hence John the Baptist Prophesied Majestically regarding Him, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29, NASB).
Please note that Christ’s Death made Way for sin to touch Him and be destroyed but this only Happens at the Divine KAIROIS-TIMES (plural) whenever His RANSOM applies to ANY SINNER in the WORLD (i.e. ALL in 1 Timothy 2:6) thereby causing that sinner to be cleansed from all his sin wherever he may be, even if it’s in the Lake of Fire first! (1 John 2:2)
It doesn’t end there for Christ did not just Die but Rose Again.
So, at the point of the removal of sin when His Ransom applies to an individual or creature, the creature is free from sin but is NOT restored to life according to God’s Will being damaged by the [Medicinal, Purifying] CLEANSING FIRE too. Christ Rose again and this means that now He applies HEALING of RESTORATION by the POWER of HIS RESURRECTION in bringing that formerly wicked man to live according to the Will of God by raising him to life in a NEW spiritual body given to his spirit so that he may be Saved too. This way, that wicked man is not the ‘same wicked anymore’ and is a NEW CREATION thereafter and this is what He Promised to Do via the Lake of Fire too as He Sits on His Throne to make ALL (creation) NEW as well HEALING it from SIN and its EFFECTS eventually by the POWER of HIS RESURRECTION!
So, the SPIRIT and HIS BRIDE are PROPHETICALLY said to call out to these ones from the Lake of Fire (who were thirsty) to ‘drink of the Water of Life freely’ (to be Born of Water) and partake of the ‘leaves first, and not the fruit’ from the Tree of Life (because being wounded by the Lake of Fire, they need to be Healed first) being not ready for its fruit yet which is only for those being restored completely to a sinless perfection first in their resurrection.
Yes, after this Cleansing in the Lake of Fire which ‘destroyed all their sin too’ (being purged in Fire) where sin being non-existent in them, this time, they will call upon Him with Purified Lips (in Truth) exclaiming that ‘Jesus is Lord’ by His Holy Spirit (thus being Born of Spirit too when this Happens). Hence, they are Born Again (made into a New Creation as well) having been Born of the Water and Spirit in this Way with an additional Last Baptism by Fire in Judgment first! Hence, Christ truly MAKES THEM ALIVE by giving them a perfect sinless spiritual body with a lesser glory as He Wills thereafter for this purpose to fulfil the Will of God to Save All men.
This is not a man made-explanation but is described succinctly with regards to this SAME TOPIC of this FINAL JUDGMENT before His Great White Throne (as 1 Peter 4:5 refers to this first) in these CONSECUTIVE Verses pertaining to the ‘fate of the Wicked’:
“who [the wicked] will give account to Him who is ready to Judge the living and the dead. For to this end the gospel was proclaimed even to the dead, so that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but they might live in the spirit according to God. Now the end of all has drawn near…” (1 Peter 4:5 – 7, BLB)
live in the spirit according to God (in 1 Peter 4:6 above) = spirit given a body = spirit + body = spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:44) given to these wicked too eventually with perfection but probably no glory as God Wills (1 Corinthians 15:38 – 41) = yes, even the Wicked will be MADE ALIVE in Christ (1 Corinthians 15:22) with regards to the ‘Resurrection of the Dead’ for ALL MEN (1 Corinthians 15:21) who die in ADAM (which includes them too, 1 Corinthians 15:22) where this is the HOPE of the GOSPEL in CHRIST ALONE toward them which Apostle Paul knows too (Acts 24:15).
Please note that if they remain ‘the dead’ (as it is still before the Great White Throne of Judgment, Revelation 20:11 – 15 despite being Resurrected for Judgement, John 5:28 – 29,) they are NOT MADE ALIVE YET by Christ which is Promised as the END result of this Last Judgment in the Lake of Fire (1 Peter 4:5) in that ‘their spirit (the wicked’s spirit) will LIVE to GOD too in the END – after this Lake of Fire Judgment as is Written Prophetically in 1 Peter 4:6’.
Can you REALLY see it?
(iv) Age-during life in AGE3 onwards for Sheep in Sheepfold1 and Sheepfold2 and perhaps (HOPE) for the Wicked too. Example:
“so that in the ages to come [AGE2, AGE3, …] He might show the surpassing riches of His Grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:7, NASB)
“having a HOPE in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection [to LIFE] of BOTH the righteous and the WICKED.” (Acts 24:15, NASB)
The Word HOPE points to a resurrection of LIFE and NOT Judgment eventually here though that HOPE may be ‘after the Judgment only’.
If it ends with an eternal Judgment for the wicked, then the word HOPE does NOT make sense in Verse above especially since it’s told with the ‘same HOPE for the righteous too (which is being raised for LIFE)’ in this same sentence (John 5:25, 28 – 29).
Christ’s Mentioning of resurrection of Judgment for the Wicked first (in John 5:28 – 29) points to a Process where this entire Process of the Wicked being raised in a ‘natural perishable body of some sort to endure Judgment’ (John 5:28 – 29) and thereafter LIVE to God in the spirit (1 Peter 4:6) with a suitable spiritual body later (1 Corinthians 15:44).

1) Resurrection of the Righteous
Now, CHRIST Reveals BOTH the Resurrection of the Dead as follows:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, an HOUR is COMING and NOW IS, when the DEAD will hear the Voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will LIVE. “Do not marvel at this; for an HOUR is COMING, in which all who are in the TOMBS will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a Resurrection of LIFE, those who committed the evil deeds to a Resurrection of JUDGMENT.” (John 5:25, 28, 29, NASB)
So, there are two Resurrections of the Righteous mentioned in Scripture:
(i) First Resurrection – which is only for the Dead in Christ, i.e. those died believing in Christ.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, an HOUR … NOW IS, when the DEAD will hear the Voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will LIVE. Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the FIRST RESURRECTION. Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the FIRST RESURRECTION; over these the second death has no power, but they will be Priests of God and of Christ and will Reign with Him for a thousand years.” (John 5:25, Revelation 20:4 – 6, NASB)
Focus:

So, it’s clear that ‘only’ those who hear the Voice of the Son of God at that FIRST HOUR (of the LAST DAY in AGE1 = ‘an HOUR … NOW IS’) will LIVE = the FIRST RESURRECTION and will Reign with Him for a Thousand Years = the Millennial Reign which follows next.
None of the remaining Dead among men (in Hades, the Sea or in Death, Revelation 20:13) or the souls comforted in blessed abodes (implied, John 10:16) rise from the dead till this 1000 year Millennial Reign is Complete:
“The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the First Resurrection” (Revelation 20:5, NASB)
During this Millennial Reign of Christ, please note the following Biblical Facts carefully:
Those of the First Resurrection, His Church (1 Thessalonians 4:14 – 17), His Bride are Immortal (Revelation 20:6) and they do NOT marry & cannot be affected by SIN in any way being the Sons of the Resurrection:
“Jesus said to them, “The sons of this age [AGE1] marry and are given in marriage, but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age [AGE2] and the [FIRST] Resurrection from the Dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; for they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels, and are Sons of God, being Sons of the Resurrection.” (Luke 20:34 – 36, NASB)

The remaining human beings are mortals during His Millennial Reign who will live and reproduce (marry) like normal till this thousand years are up under the Reign of Christ with His Immortals of the First Resurrection!
“They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the SEED of the blessed of the LORD, and their OFFSPRING with them.” (Isaiah 65:23, KJV)
they are the SEED of the blessed of the LORD, and their OFFSPRING with them (Isaiah 65:23, KJV) = Proves that there are marriages and normal births among mortals in His Millennial Reign (yes, the words SEED and OFFSPRING clearly prove this fact!)
The phrase “sons of this age [AGE1] marry and are given in marriage” itself proves that this ‘current age [AGE1]’ has NOT ended because Marriage still exists in His Millennial Reign (Isaiah 65:23) somewhere during this LAST DAY of AGE1 (John 6:54 refers to the ones of His First Resurrection too). Indeed,
“he who is eating My Flesh, and is drinking My Blood, hath life age-during [in AGE1], and I will raise him up in the LAST DAY [of AGE1];” (John 6:54, YLT)
There are SINNERS among mortals during His Millennial Reign too among mortals on the earth too (both Jews and Gentiles) who will have be given a choice as to whether they serve the LORD or otherwise. The difference is during this time, Satan is no longer present (for a thousand years to deceive them in any way, Revelation 20:1 – 3).
But just because Satan is not present, it does not mean that mankind does not sin as each mortal can still sin. The existence of “sinners” during His Millennial Reign is clearly described in Verse below (the Hebrew word here is clearly ‘wə·ha·ḥō·w·ṭe’ meaning ‘sinner’ from the root word ‘חָטָא’, transliterated ‘chata’ which means sin though some translations err by not translating this Verse accurately, please take note):
“There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the SINNER being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” (Isaiah 65:20, KJV)
So, the phrase “but the SINNER being an hundred years old shall be accursed” (Isaiah 65:20, KJV) means that anyone who ‘dies’ at an age of less than 100 years is considered accursed since ‘he must be very sinful to die at such a young age’ during this Blessed Time (implied).
Also, with the absence of Satan mankind lives longer and are more blessed though being mortals and as a result of lesser sin, they live longer too! This is described in Verses below:
“And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of My People, and Mine Elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.” (Isaiah 65:21 – 22, KJV)
as the days of a tree are the days of MY PEOPLE = Those who serve the LORD during the Millennial Reign (especially from among His People, the Jews) will have LONG MORTAL LIVES comparable to a tree (as we know that some trees easily live above 100 years).
MINE ELECT shall long enjoy the work of their hands = The Immortals from the First Resurrection are HIS ELECT (His Bride, His Church, His CHOSEN ones) who will enjoy the Work of their hands (whatever it may be during this Time of their REIGN with HIM!)
Please note that the Resurrected Ones do NOT marry and do NOT sin being His Church Perfected in the Flesh after Marriage as described in point (a) earlier.
(ii) Second Resurrection – which is only for the righteous who did NOT die in Christ.
Only those who believe in Him (either on earth itself or in the afterlife when they see Him):
“but ye do not believe, for ye are not of My sheep,” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:26, YLT)
“according as I said to you: My sheep My Voice do hear, and I know them, and they follow Me, and life age-during [in AGE1] I give to them [toward their souls in the Blessed Abodes first], and they shall not perish — to the [End of] age [AGE1], and no one shall pluck them out of My Hand;” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:27 – 28, YLT)
“and this is the Will of Him who sent Me, that every one who is beholding [SEEING] the Son, and [thereafter] is believing in Him, may have life age-during [in AGE1, in the Blessed Abodes with their souls], and I will raise [Resurrect] him up [with a BODY] in the LAST DAY [of AGE1].” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 6:40, YLT)
The Verse above clearly specifies that one can SEE (or behold) Him first and the believe too (be it on the earth or in the afterlife). Since no limit is added, we should not add a limit either. The condition of SEEING itself proves the afterlife simply because NO ONE SEES Christ unless He is Revealed from the afterlife toward ones living on the earth or to the SOULS of the DEPARTED wherever they may find themselves first there!
Believing after Seeing Him (in the afterlife or on earth).
This type of believing after seeing Him was experienced by apostle Thomas on earth. It is not limited to this case only as one can see Him in the afterlife too and this Mysterious Fact is further revealed in Verses below:
“And as Moses did lift up the serpent in the wilderness, so it behoveth the Son of Man to be Lifted Up [i.e. be Resurrected to Heaven in the afterlife – first, Context], that every one who is believing in Him [there in the afterlife, implied] may not perish, but may have life age-during [in AGE1],” (John 3:14 – 15, YLT)
The analogy here is that Moses lifted up the Serpent and people with diseases got healed when they ‘looked at it’. The phrase “Lifted Up” means His Resurrection to Heaven and this is signified by His Death means that this can ‘only’ happen for the afterlife cases:
Yes, the phrase “Lifted Up” is further revealed in Verses below in the Context of prophet Isaiah having seen Him in Glory (i.e. the Son of Man has been Glorified) and it is directly linked to the “Gospel” in that ‘who has believed our Report (or Gospel)?’ with reference to His Mighty Saving Arm (Topic of Salvation or being Saved):
“the multitude answered him, ‘We heard out of the law that the Christ doth remain — to the age; and how dost thou say, That it behoveth the Son of Man to be Lifted Up? Who is this — the Son of Man?
yet He having done so many signs before them, they were not believing in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he said, ‘Lord, who gave credence to our report? and the Arm of the Lord — to whom was it revealed?’ Because of this they were not able to believe, that again Isaiah said, ‘He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they might not see with the eyes, and understand with the heart, and turn back, and I might heal them;’ these things said Isaiah, when he saw His Glory, and spake of Him.” (John 12:34, 37 – 41, YLT)
Please note the phrase “Lifted Up” in each of the quoted couplet of Verses which can only mean Christ’s Ascension into the Heavens post Resurrection. Here is the meaning:
Christ having been Lifted Up (Resurrected and Ascended into the Heavens, Glorified) sets this timeline in which those who SEE Him in the afterlife and believe in Him may be Saved and obtain this particular age-during life in AGE1 just like those who have seen the bronze serpent lifted up by Moses and got healed likewise. This analogy is clear since the serpent represents an adversary and so those who SEE Him in the afterlife SEE Him as the adversary too (proving further that they did not believe in Him whilst on earth) but when they choose to believe in Him there, they get saved and healed just like the Moses analogy implies too.
Note that the ones who got healed in the Moses analogy were disobedient ones and similarly it matches the case for them that these ones that only believe in the afterlife were enemies of the Gospel likewise whilst on earth prior.
The other relatively unknown fact is that this ‘believing after seeing Him in the afterlife case’ does not only refer to the possibility of obtaining age-during life in AGE1 only but also for obtaining age-during life for AGE2 as well (in Principle).
They are righteous with respect to Good Works only and NOT in faith as Christ gave this option toward those who did NOT believe in Him to at least believe in [His] Good Works:
“if I do not the [Good] works of My Father, do not believe Me; and if I do, even if Me ye may NOT believe, THE [Good] WORKS BELIEVE, …” (John 10:37 – 38, YLT)
Please notice carefully that if there was no hope if they did not believe [on earth], Christ would not have given them the option to believe in His Good Works only (under the condition that ‘if they could NOT believe in Him – first’) as that would count for ‘nothing’ right?, unless it gives a lesser Hope.
The Verses below mentions righteousness based on Good Works (or ‘what is RIGHT’) only:
“Opening his mouth, Peter said: ‘I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is RIGHT is WELCOME to Him.’” (Acts 10:34 – 35, NASB)
How do we understand what apostle Peter meant? Here are the JUDGMENT Verses:
“For when Gentiles who do not have the Law DO instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the WORK of the Law written in their hearts, THEIR CONSCIENCE bearing witness and their thoughts alternately ACCUSING or else DEFENDING them, on the [Judgment] DAY when, ACCORDING to MY GOSPEL, God will JUDGE the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.” (Romans 2:14 – 16, NASB)
Notice that the last Verse above refers to the Gentiles-case who do NOT have the Law (the Bible or the Gospel) and they are JUDGED based on their WORKS. If their works match what is taught as ‘good according to apostle Paul’s Gospel’, it will DEFEND them and vice versa.
‘RIGHTEOUS who did NOT believe in Christ on the earth’ = are part of sheepfold2, I repeat:
“but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.” (Acts 10:35, NASB)
Some may accuse me of taking the Verse out of Context because the person to whom the Verse above refers to eventually ‘believed in Christ on earth’. It is quoted in principle here and this agrees with the Judgment of God toward the Gentiles who did NOT believe (nor have His Law) but did ‘what is right’ (according to their Conscience) and thus if it matched His Ways, they will be Judged as Right and otherwise as apostle Paul reveals in Verses below:
“There will be tribulation and distress for every SOUL of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law;” (Romans 2:9, 12, NASB)
The Verse above clearly points to two types of wicked namely that one is wicked with the Law (Jew) and the other is wicked without the Law (Greek, referring to all other races of men collectively since the letter focused on the Greeks first at that time) and thus, according to their ‘evil’ done, there will be TRIBULATION and DISTRESS to their SOUL (afterlife punishments).
“but glory and honor and peace to everyone who DOES GOOD, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God. for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the DOERS of the Law will be justified. Please note that in the last set of Verses, we see the following:
glory and honor and peace to everyone = who DOES GOOD
everyone = Jew, Greek, Gentiles = ALL men
GENTILES who do not have the Law = Certainly do NOT believe in Christ
Now, referring to such GENTILES (unbelievers) —-> if they DO instinctively the THINGS of the LAW —> CONSCIENCE bearing witness and their thoughts alternately ACCUSING or else DEFENDING them —-> according to my Gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus —> on the DAY. Which Day? JUDGMENT DAY.
The Good Works will NOT Save them and neither the Good Works of a Christian will Save them either for we are Saved by His MERCY ONLY (e.g. Principle in Titus 3:5, Romans 9:16).
So, will His Mercy apply to them? Yes, if they believe in Him after seeing Him in the afterlife (John 6:40) as discussed prior where they will have the ‘particular’ age-during life (in AGE1) but certainly in ‘some lesser regions of the blessed with their souls’ (implied) as it is distinguished as ‘another sheep fold’ (pointing to a different location from where His Faithful SheepFold is) in Verse below:
“and other sheep I have that are not of this fold, these also it behoveth Me to bring, and My Voice they will hear, and there shall become one flock — one shepherd.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:16, YLT)
other sheep I have that are not of this fold = sheep located in a different fold, sheepfold2
these also it behoveth Me to bring = He must Save and Bring them too
My Voice they will hear = In Greek, it’s a Future Tense (the phrase ‘they will hear’) meaning that it CANNOT refer to ANY of His Sheep on earth who KNOW HIS VOICE (present tense, e.g. the phrase “ My sheep My Voice do hear, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27, NASB).
Non-Christian sheep (sheep-fold2) INHERITTING His Kingdom being Surprised that their Good Works toward His Brethren (believers, Jew or Gentile, highlighted) and is accepted:
“ALL the NATIONS will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the Shepherd separates the SHEEP from the goats; Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, INHERIT the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’ ” (Matthew 25:32, 34 – 40, NASB)
Yes, the righteous sheep which reacted Surprised that ‘they are counted’ as sheep and even that the good works done is equivalent to be done toward Him itself proves that these cannot be the ELECT since all the ELECT know that doing Good Works toward other Human Beings is Equivalent to doing it to Christ.
The Judgment above takes place at the End of the Millennial Reign of Christ (Matthew 25:14 – 30, Revelation 20:5 – 6) and thus the ‘sheep’ here CANNOT refer to the ELECT (His Bride, Church, sheep-fold1) who have already RESURRECTED and INHERITTED His kingdom Prior during the 1000 years-Millennial Reign of Christ (Revelation 20:4 – 6) after the First Resurrection.
The sheep in sheepfold1 refers to those who ‘listen to His Voice’ (obey) and ‘know Him on earth itself’ (believe in Him on earth itself). Here’s an example Verse:
“…I know My own [sheep] and My own [sheep] know Me” (John 10:14, NASB)
“My sheep hear My Voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27, NASB)
[emphasis mine throughout this writing where I add additional words in these brackets to better understand the claim made]
So, in this Definition of His Sheep in sheepfold1, please notice carefully each characteristic (or trait) given in Scripture for identifying these sheep & we may examine ourselves too to see as to whether these definitions ‘match’ our ‘lifestyle’ (let each man answer for himself):
I know My own = and I know them = Christ Knows who His Sheep is
My own [sheep] know Me = Sheep of sheepfold1 know Him (believe in Him, implied)
My sheep hear My Voice = Sheep of sheepfold1 obey His Voice especially His Written Word
and they follow Me = Sheep of sheepfold1 also Put His Word into Practice (Action)
Now, there are two types of Sheep in sheepfold1 itself, namely (Israel and Gentile):
g.1) The Lost Sheep of Israel
“But He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24, NASB)
Now, the sheep being ‘lost’ means = the sheep either hasn’t heard His Voice and Believed in Him OR the sheep has backslidden after hearing His Voice and once believed in Him
Example (Sheep of Israel = Righteous Israel, Lost Sheep of Israel = Fallen Righteous Israel):
g.1.a) The lost sheep which hasn’t heard His Voice and Believed in Him yet is clearly implied (in Matthew 15:24) itself where that’s the prime reason that He is reaching out to them.
g.1.b) The lost sheep which has backslidden after hearing His Voice and once believed in Him is clearly implied in Verses below:
“MY PEOPLE have become LOST SHEEP; Their shepherds have LED them ASTRAY…All who came upon them have DEVOURED them; … And their adversaries have said, ‘We are not guilty, Inasmuch as THEY have SINNED against the LORD who is the habitation of righteousness, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.” (Jeremiah 50:6 – 7, NASB)
Please note carefully that these are still called LOST SHEEP (and not goats) and in sequence below as it occurs in these Verses:
MY PEOPLE … LOST SHEEP … LED … ASTRAY … DEVOURED … THEY … SINNED against the LORD.
It’s clear that these Lost Sheep may have DIED being Devoured by their enemies who considered it ‘not wrong’ (feeling ‘not guilty’) because they recognise that these have sinned against the LORD. An AFTERLIFE Recovery is Promised PROPHETICALLY in Verses below:
“I will surely assemble ALL of you, JACOB, I will surely gather the REMNANT of ISRAEL. I will put them TOGETHER like SHEEP in the FOLD; Like a FLOCK in the midst of its pasture They will be noisy with men.” (Micah 2:12, NASB)
Please note carefully that the Verse above Speaks of a Salvation for ‘ALL of JACOB’ (any descendant of Israel, Prophetically) who will be gathered TOGETHER with the REMNANT of ISRAEL (and ‘not’ only the remnant Israel) which will include the ‘wicked Israel’ (‘goat’) too in a LATTER Specific DAY eventually as it is referred to as the ‘afflicted’ in Verse below, seen PROPHETICALLY in that DAY (somewhere in the Future Age when it is to be fulfilled):
“In that DAY,” declares the LORD, “I will assemble the lame And gather the outcasts, Even those whom I have afflicted.” (Micah 4:6, NASB)
Sheep of Israel = Righteous of Israel, those whom I have afflicted = Wicked (Goat) of Israel
g.2) The Lost Sheep of the Gentiles
“These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: Do not go in the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter any city of the Samaritans; but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 10:5 – 6, NASB)
The Verses above itself hints (by contrast) that there are ‘Lost Sheep of the Gentiles too’ but before His Ascension, He did not send them to these Lost Sheep of the Gentiles.
g.3) Are the Sheep of Israel and the Sheep of the Gentiles two different folds?
Sheepfold1 = Consists ONLY of BELIEVERS (Israel or Gentile), who believed on earth itself
Sheepfold2 = Consists ONLY of the fallen righteous* (Israel or Gentile)
Goats = the Wicked (Israel or Gentile)
*Who will be considered the fallen righteous or the wicked? Let God Decide but an idea of it is illustrated in the post below:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. “But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep. “To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. “When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. “A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” This figure of speech Jesus spoke to them, but they did not understand what those things were which He had been saying to them.” (John 10:1 – 6, NASB)
The Verses prior (John 10:1 – 6) clearly speak of the FOLD (a sheep holding place, abode of the sheep in the afterlife) for which Christ also says that He has ‘other sheep in a DIFFERENT FOLD’ (i.e. ‘other sheep’ located in a different afterlife abode) in Verse below:
“I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with One Shepherd. ” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:16, NASB)
The Thief (Satan, the Serpent, the Devil, the Dragon, Definition of his multiple names: Revelation 12:9, Revelation 20:2) walking to and Fro from the heavens to the Earth (including some parts of these afterlife abodes) till he will be cast down to the earth ‘only’ (Revelation 12:7 – 17, Daniel 12:1) is mentioned in Verse below:
” Again there was a Day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD. The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.” (Job 2:1 – 2, NASB)
on the earth and around it = afterlife regions as well (be it the blessed abodes or the abodes of the damned);
Satan presenting himself before the LORD (despite having NO Holiness is mentioned in Job 2:1 – 2 above). So it’s not a big deal that he is allowed to walk into the sheepfolds (1 and 2) by climbing the other way etc (John 10:1, John 10:8).
This may be allowed by God to show that in the blessed afterlife abodes (of sheepfold 1 and the lesser regions of sheepfold2 as well), though Satan may climb through the wall toward these sheep (SAVED and kept in these sheepfolds), he cannot harm them in any way (being powerless, John 10:4 – 5).
Also, the sheep does NOT listen to Satan at all in these afterlife abodes and ONLY listens to the Good Shepherd, Lord Jesus Christ Himself (John 10:5, 16, 27) proving again that this MUST be an afterlife Context as on earth, we may still ‘sin’ & that ‘refers to times where we may have followed after Satan’s voice instead of CHRIST’s Beautiful Voice’.
The Doorkeeper may refer to a Guardian Angel or Cherubim (e.g. Genesis 3:24) which stands guard at these blessed abodes be it those belonging to sheepfold1 or the lesser abodes belonging to sheepfold2 for example, to avoid too many Devils or the wicked to approach it in the afterlife.
Yes, this Doorkeeper only opens (John 10:3) to the Good Shepherd Who comes to these sheepfolds (or Pens) through the Front Door (John 10:2) where He leads the Sheep into ‘Heavenly Pasture’ where NO Thief or Devil may approach and as He leads them out (as the DOOR this time, John 10:7) Deeper into the Mysterious Regions of the Heavens toward these Sheep of His (John 10:9).
Yes, Satan is the one described in Verse below by our Blessed Saviour:

Now, the sheep in sheepfold1 may be guarded by a hireling on earth (John 10:12 e.g. a pastor or a religious leader) who flees when they see Satan (the wolf) coming (John 10:13) to save themselves. These sheep of sheepfold1 gets attacked and scattered by Satan on earth whenever this happens (John 10:12). Simultaneously, Christ Mentions of sheep belonging to ‘another fold’ (i.e. they will be gathered in another location, namely the lesser blessed abodes of the blessed in the afterlife, John 10:16) whilst comparing them to His Obedient Sheep on earth.
His Sheep of sheepfold1 know His Voice and obey Him on earth itself, following Him (John 10:27) whilst His sheep of sheepfold2 will not hear His Voice on earth but will hear when He Brings them (i.e. Saves them in the afterlife regions where they descend into Judgment first upon death, Hebrews 9:27, Galatians 6:7) and Saves them thereafter (John 10:16).
Please note that some Verses in this same Chapter (John 10) may refer to a Parable highlighting an earthly context whilst others may be highlighting an afterlife context where others too may be highlighting both ‘an earthly and an afterlife context’. Since these quoted Verses only are sufficient for my concern regarding this Topic, it does not matter how you view the other Verses.
A Conclusion for His Sheep (be it from Sheepfold1 or Sheepfold2):
A believing sheep (Israel or Gentile) is SAVED when it ‘believes in Him on earth itself’ (which is called faith, making it to belong to Sheepfold1, John 10:27) or when He Searches, Finds and Brings the ‘other sheep from Sheepfold2’ (John 10:16) into their respective folds as He is the Door:
“I am the Door [to life in the blessed abodes], through Me if any one may come in [to these blessed abodes], he shall be SAVED, and he shall come in [to Me], and go out [into the blessed afterlife regions], and find pasture [comfort and rest]. … I came that they may have life, and may have [it] abundantly.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:9 – 10, YLT)
Please also note that to Him only (Lord Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd, John 10:2, John 10:11) the ‘Doorkeeper’ (Guardian, probably an angel, John 10:3) at the entrance of these ‘blessed abodes’ (or sheepfold 1 or 2) would OPEN and let the ‘sheep’ follow Him (John 10:4) where though thief (the Devil) may come, the sheep will NOT hear him at all (in these afterlife regions, John 10:1, John 10:5). The Devil or the Robber and Thief CANNOT do anything toward the Sheep here in these afterlife abodes as it is Described Beautifully in a Parable or Similitude (John 10:6) at the Beginning of this Chapter itself (John 10:1 – 6).
(iii) How about the wicked?
The wicked are mentioned to be resurrected TOGETHER with the righteous who did NOT die in Christ during the second resurrection (Daniel 12:2, John 5:28 – 29). However it is distinctly mentioned by our Blessed Saviour that during this second resurrection, the righteous are raised to LIFE while the wicked are raised for JUDGMENT. Hence, we know that one being ‘raised to life’ must be given an appropriate spiritual body in perfection and in comparison the ones ‘raised to judgment’ (by contrast) must be given a ‘perishable natural body in some type of flesh’ perish in sin during Judgment so that they sin may be ‘sucked out and destroyed in this flesh’ (a medicinal purpose, for a lack of a better phrase to describe it).
This order of Resurrection itself proves that His Righteous are not numbered together with the wicked in any way (Psalm 26:9). There is also a distinction between the Righteous of the First Resurrection (i.e. those who died in Christ, John 5:24 – 25, Revelation 20:4 – 6) vs the righteous of the second resurrection (i.e. those who did NOT die in Christ, John 5:28 – 29) in that the Former will be ‘the great’ and the latter will be the ‘small’ before His Throne on Judgment Day (Revelation 20:12, Revelation 19:5).
Also, the Millennial Reign of Christ for a thousand years somewhere during the Last Day of this current age is a reward only for those of the First Resurrection proving that the righteous from among Christ (i.e. the ‘righteous in the true Faith of Jesus Christ’) take precedence and have higher positions always than those righteous from good works only who take precedence over the wicked who will be the least in His Kingdom.
Yes, only the Righteous inherit His Kingdom. The ‘Righteous in Christ’ have the highest inheritance (e.g. Kings & Priests in His Kingdom) while the ‘righteous without Christ but in Good Works only on their earthly lives prior’ attain ‘lesser offices’ during His Reign (implied).
This is the ‘hidden’ HOPE for the Resurrection for the Dead toward the Wicked too (Acts 24:15, 1 Corinthians 15:21) in that they, the wicked (being part of the ALL who DIE in ADAM) will be MADE ALIVE (in the SPIRIT first post-Judgment, 1 Peter 4:6) by CHRIST (1 Corinthians 15:22) through His MERCY which Triumphs and ENDS that afterlife Judgment Sentence (James 2:13) where following that, a suitable spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:44) which is ‘imperishable’ (or incorruptible by sin, being SINLESS) may be given according to a lesser glory (1 Corinthians 15:39 – 41) as God Justifies the Wicked (Romans 4:5) and gives it a body as He Graciously Wills (1 Corinthians 15:38) and these become least in the kingdom of the heavens (being part of the Command Breakers of all Law and Prophets prior, Context Matthew 5:17 – 18) as it is WRITTEN too (Matthew 5:19).
(iv) What’s the difference between inheriting the kingdom of the heavens and entering it?
Here’s a PROPHETIC Verse to help understand this better:
“And a Voice came from the Throne, saying,
“Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.” Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying,
“Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.” (Revelation 19:5 – 6, NASB)
Please notice carefully that:
all you His bond-servants = you who fear Him = the small and the great (His Sheep ‘only’)
the small = fallen believers and the non-Christian righteous (sheep-fold2)
the great = the faithful believers = His Elect = His Bride = His Church (sheep-fold1)
the voice of a great multitude = others from among men who are saved to ENTER into the Kingdom of the Heavens (the ‘least’, Matthew 5:19)
Indeed,
“Whoever then shall break one of the least of these commandments and shall teach others the same, he will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whoever shall keep and shall teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:19, BLB)
In light of Matthew 5:19, we see that there is a continuous ranking in the kingdom of the heavens (i.e. from the least to the great) according to whether one has been faithful to both DO and TEACH the ‘breaking’ or ‘obeying’ of His Commands prior to their life on earth where both (or all men) will eventually be IN the Kingdom of the HEAVENS.
So those from sheep-fold1 (the Elect, His Bride, His Church) will rank the Highest as ‘the great’ in His Kingdom always and those from sheep-fold2 (consisting of both the sheep of the other fold, righteous in deeds but did not believe in Him on earth first prior, i.e. the non-Christian righteous together with believers who have backslided on earth) will rank as the ‘small’ while anyone saved thereafter from the Lake of Fire will be ranked ‘least’ in the kingdom of the heavens.
Only ‘the small and the great’ get to reign in His Kingdom thereafter with ‘the small’ having ‘lesser offices’ while ‘the great’ will be ‘kings and priests’ before Him. Thus, only ‘the small’ and ‘the great’ INHERIT His Kingdom (being His BOND SERVANTS, Revelation 19:5) and NONE of the WICKED will:
“Or do you not know that the UNRIGHTEOUS will NOT INHERIT the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,” (1 Corinthians 6:9, NASB)
(v) Visions of Heaven and Hell agreeing to this Biblical Exegesis
